How my life relates to music: ^_^ Blog for June 26, 2007

Well as far back as I can remember, music has always surrounded my life, so why has it always been there??? My father is an excellent musician but unfortunately couldn't fulfill his dream of having a famous band for reasons that will remain unknown. His style is purely Mexican music, consisting of Kumbia, ranchera, reggae, duragance etc. He has made many covers with his band and performs every weekend at clubs and parties. Not to mention he also plays his music at home, I've learned to stand it and then eventually love it so much that I wanted to do it myself. Theres no doubt my parents would be greatly dissapointed if I told them I wanted to be a musician, although if I ever do , I have a l-o-n-g way to go, lol. Anyways , my father's band includes, my uncle, my brother, and various close friends. The instruments played are guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, drums/percussion, and other instruments. So why do I like ROCK so much??? Like every other teenager that wants to fit in, I didn't want to, I didn't like the idea of being fitted into a group, which is why I don't label. I needed a good influence and then I found AFI ^_^ , from there my lifestyle changed, but not my personality, having a good influence like AFI made me happy and made me believe that life is worth living. I love music so much, especially ROCk, the sound and the points that are made through the lyrics is something I can completely understand. Alright, let me wrap this up. I now am learning the guitar, keyboards, piano, and drums/percussion. I don't think you have to learn how to sing,.it should come naturally. Thats it , Peace Out!

whoa..awesome wat u just said there..i agree with you, after i found AFI, my lifestyle changed, but only for the better!!
haha, my dad plays the drums..but hes not in a band, he plays for fun, doing covers of songs..
