The Mighty Becks

Hi there! I'm Rebecca. My name comes with various nicknames my fav being Becks which is by the way no reference to David Beckham he just happens to share my nickname . Others include Becca, Becky and Rebecky. Call me what you want just don't call me before 9. 

I work for Leeds City Council Early Years Department in a Children's centre. I find my job very challenging as I work with children with alot of background and behaviour problems but it can also be very rewarding when they have good days  I've worked with children since I was 18. I think maybe a new career could be my next path but like so many others I don't know what else to do as childcare is all I've ever excelled in.

The last month has indeed been a time of change. I have my new job in the council and I have just moved into my own place in Hyde Park. I love having my own space and my independence and it doesn't get lonely because my boyfriend James lives a few streets away. Living in Hyde Park has it's advantages. It's very close to Leeds city centre and there are plenty of pubs and such just a short walk away...hey maybe I should consider being an estate agent! lol.

When i'm not working I like to go to the pub or go to gigs in Leeds with my friends or with my sisters. My friends are a great bunch. Most are guys because i've always found I get along better with guys than girls. However my few girl friends are true friends and are always good for a laugh and a gossip teehee. I went to see The Humour last night at  the Cockpit and they were amazing! They are so talented and from what I saw of them they seem like nice guys which is always a plus. I've seen too many bands that are arrogant and obnoxious. So yeah I think i've become a fan.lol.
