Learning how to mix...

My boyfriend asked me a while back why I don't create my own accompaniment and I told him of my lack of instrumental skills. He then mentioned computer mixing. I did a bit of audio mixing back in university but didn't really get into it, but perhaps I wrote it off too soon.
The Trews are a Canadian band a friend from university got me into (she knew the drummer... or the guitarist... can't remember exactly who) Recently I was on their site and noticed a remix contest. Take one of two songs, tinker with it, post your rendition and have people vote for it.
Hmmm... This might be a nice stepping stone for me. Fiddle around with someone else's music, THEN try my hand at mixing some of my own stuff. Anywho, here's the link

In other news, finally got my keyboard and computer to talk to one another (thanks Jeff!) and also installed some new mixing software. Should be posting more collaborations soon.
