In 2000 I helped to work on a pilot for a T.V soap based on the South West of Engalnd.
The tittles was t be Hoe Approach.
The idea was good, and Brain Waksman’s film company based in Devon let the T.V equipment for the first shoot of the project. All the characters where local, the idea was reasonably good and covered everything from tomb stoning to bulimia, the style was set to be a grange hill type naighbours. , We even had a professional T.V music maker produce the tittles track and sound track for the project.
All looked well but bad marketing meant that the project did not get of the ground at the time. It’s good to see that Echo Beach is to be launched in Newquay this year. A T.V soap based in Cornwall Naighbours goes Newquay grea,t for the South West of England and it even has its own neighbours star Jason Donaven. Will Kyley make an appearance I wonder?
May be it will help to sell my book project on Fistral which is still on the cards and on going this year.
I would love to work on the project Echo Beach.
