Good Charlotte concert May 28th
I met up with Kristina at the main station in Copenhagen at 1pm. We went to get something to eat and found a Mexican restaurant. At least I think that's what it was. I know it said in the menu that the portions were small, but they were RIDICULOUSLY small. I've never paid 59.50 DKK for that amount of food. When we got the check, we got a little card that said 'Hope to see you soon' and all I could think was 'Don't hold your breath'
Anyways, I had talked to Sanne and we agreed to meet up at VEGA where the show was and we finally got there at like 3.20pm. There were hardly any people at the venue and I thought it'd be packed but it wasn't. We had the best time. Got something to drink and whatnot and generally had a great time. Tanja was there as well. Haven't seen her in a while. Met these two girls that were really nice. We took a bunch of pictures that I'm going to upload at a later time.
The doors opened at 7pm and the opening band, Pranksters, went on at 8pm. I had already checked them out on MySpace, but that was the only thing I knew about them. But I was positively surprised. They were pretty awesome and knew how to get the crowd pumped up. They did a song about Good Charlotte which was pretty funny. At least to me it was. It went something like this: 'Who are Good Charlotte? Yeah who are they? Who are Good Charlotte? Is it someone that we like'
I guess you should have been there.
GC came on around 9 pm, perhaps a couple of minutes past, but that doesn't bother me all that much.
They all came in separately, with Good Morning Revival playing in the background. Took a bunch of pics and got like 9 videos of them talking and whatnot. At one point I was about to take a picture of Joel and he points into my camera for like 2,7 seconds (or something like that :D ) and of course my camera decides to be a pain in the ass and not take the picture. But a picture taken at a later time made up for it. It was purely coincidental, but I got a pic of Joel where he, unintentionally, makes it look like he's impersonating a robot. I got the pic and had a look at it and I couldn't help but laugh cause it looked funny and Joel laughed as well. I sent it to him in a message on myspace, but with my 'luck' he wont read it, even thought he subject of the message is very clear.
Anyhow, the GC part of the show ended after 1½ hour and we all went outside. Most people went home, but a few stayed after the show. There was this one girl, who apparently had a letter for the guys, and she tried to hand it to one of the roadies, hoping he'd pass it on. He was like: 'Wouldn't it be better if you gave it to them?' I couldn't hear what was answered, but after a while the same guy said: 'But I'm not their mom so I can't tell them what to do' and another roadie was like: 'But you look like their mom' and the guy from before was like: 'I wanna be their mom'
It was pretty funny, but yet again, you probably should have been there.
Benji came out and people actually respected the fact that he wanted to get on the bus, and didn't attack him. At least it didn't seem that way to me. He said he'd be out later and he did come out. I was first in line and got an autograph. I brought my GC clock once again cause I still need Paul and Dean to sign it. It's pretty heavy, so I'm kind of sick of having to carry it with me every time, but I want the last two. I waited a while after Benj came out, in hopes that the rest of them would come out. If not all of them, then Paul and Dean. I missed them when they were in Denmark in March.
