For anyone who may have missed out:
Sunday, we were scheduled 2nd on Cryogen's CD Release. The place was kinda empty until we started settin' up, so I was getting geeked. Con Ass shirts were everywhere. I run downstairs to grab my water when I come back up and get notified we're not playing due to Vic breaking his thumb.
Suddenly I wasn't so happy anymore. I'm like "Shit, how bad is it?" Suddenly Vic walks up, perfectly calm and his thumb is all contorted and shit. He says his wife is taking him to the hospital. So of course, we're just standing there dumbfounded like "Ummm, this is really happeneing, isn't it?"
After about 5 mins, Tano looks at me and says "Well, you should go ahead and make the announcement." Fucksakes, it's always me...next band I'm in, I'm not doing vocals. We're always the guys who have to do that shit...
So here I am, walking up to the mic...sad because not only are we not playing, but I have to tell all the people that just showed up to see us that we're not playing. As I was filling everyone in, disappointment washed over their faces, some people just kinda walked up like "Hey, that sucks" whereas others just started leaving...it was not a good day for Con Ass.
However, Vic says he'll be ready to play on October 20th. We're also planning a makeup show so keep your tickets, people. That will get you free entry to said makeup show.
