This is Danger Avenue

The idea to form Danger Avenue came together shortly after I first met guitarist/singer Thomas in the summer of 2004. Our intension was to form a band which played music in the same style as FM, Survivor, Journey and Rick Springfield to name just a few. In our opinion that kind of music was something that was missing in the world at the moment.

Of course we know there are some new bands in the AOR-genre around, but
most of them are just projects. We wanted a real band that played live and gave the whole concept 100%, like bands from the late 70´s and early 80´s did. Even though we were inspired by the oldschool attitude we do not consider ourselves as some kind of retroband, neither do we think that the most important thing is to sound as futuristic or current as possible.

After the songwriting process had started we noticed that we had our own
sound anyway. Not only the FM, Survivor etc-influences could be heard in our music.
Also Thin Lizzy, Kiss, Boston and Magnum are bands we have been compared to.

In the fall of 2004 our drummer Criss David joined us and in the summer of
2005 more frequent rehearsals started and October the 1st we played live
for the first time. Joining us then was our keyboardplayer at the time, Johan Bergqvist
(Million). Due to lack of time he´s not a member of the band anymore.

Anyway, Thomas, Criss and me continued and in april 2006 we met Jimmie Lee
Cooper who became our singer. At the end the final piece of the puzzle was found when Math started playing bass with us. Now it's 2007 and we're up an' ready for the world!

Matt Ryder left the band in September 2007 and was replaced by Chris DiCola.

The most important thing for Danger Avenue is the songs. If they´re not good then nothing else matters. That doesn´t make other things less important. We think everything is important; liveperformance, the record cover, the logotype, the attitude and everything else. But at the end of the day it all comes down to the songs.
