Eclipsed: What is your name?
Jane Evil: Jane Evil.
Eclipsed: What are your bands names?
Jane Evil: The Jane Evil Band, Zadoc and the Nightmare and Haunted by Angels
Eclipsed: Where are your bands from?
Jane Evil: From all over NY state..
Eclipsed: So, how has the recording process been going?
Jane Evil: Very well. Two bands are on their second cd. The Jane Evil band is on our first.
Eclipsed: How does the writing process work with your bands?
Jane Evil: I've been very lucky to have found bands where the members get along well and seem to be in the same flow when writing. We may have some disagreements, but nothing we can't work past!
Eclipsed: Any idea when your cd/s are going to be coming out?
Jane Evil: For Zadoc we are looking at later this year. Haunted by Angels laate this year to early next year. The new band, probably next year.
Eclipsed: Are you currently on tour?
Jane Evil: No right now. Too hard with writing going on in three bands. Been doing some hometown shows...but thats it for now. I will be playing a large metal fest this summer though. Biggest plans I have for now till the cd's are done.
Eclipsed: If not, is there a tour in the plans?
Jane Evil: Next year..looking at spring/summer tour.
Eclipsed: For anyone who has not heard of you all, could you maybe say a few of your influences to give a little bit of an idea?
Jane Evil: Hmm..Dream Theater, Geoff Tate, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil..too name a few.
Eclipsed: How did your bands name come in to being?
Jane Evil: I joined Haunted by Angels after their previous singer left. They had never had a female singer before and took a chance on me. Zadoc I had been friends with for years after sharing the stag with them. I had left HBA for a short while, and in that time Zadoc asked me to join the band to be a co-lead singer As for The Jane Evil Band...well,for awhile now Iv'e wanted a project all my own but had to find the right players to do so.
Eclipsed: And Ms. Evil, (if I may call you that), do you see that big of a difference between East and West Coast metal bands?
Jane Evil: Of course you may..and thank you for asking.
Jane Evil: I do see or rather hear a difference.. A metal band that comes out of Jersey wont sound in any way like a band from say L.A. or Riverside. What drives them, and the sound and lyrics are totally different. Growing up or living in L.A. will give you a different perspective than growing up in NYC....but it may be just my opinion.
Eclipsed: How about a difference between East and West Coast metal fans?
Jane Evil: I think they both have just as much love and loyalty for the bands as the other! Metal fans are an amazing lot..whether on the East or West coast!
Eclipsed: Do you have any projects upcoming that you're looking forward to?
Jane Evil: Just getting my new band off and running. To see where it can be taken...or where it will take me.
Eclipsed: And lastly, do you have a message for the fans?
Jane Evil: Even though I may not be on superstar level, The fans that I have acquired in the last few years have made me feel like one...and I'll be forever grateful!! I hope as my projects bring out new music in the coming year that they love the new sound as much as the old. Plus, whether it's me or another band you love....support us. Spread the word about us and our music.
Eclipsed: Thank you again. I appreciate you taking the time out to do this.
Jane Evil: I thank you also for the chance to let you and others know a bit more about myself!
