Blog for September 16, 2007: Impulsive Thinking

Actually the name came from the tool in Ableton Live called Impulse drums, I added thinking at the end for no reason and then realized how right it did the song.
The songs not much more exciting than Paranoia, but it does sound pretty good now doesn't it? I consider it a trance simply because it's a little calmer than what was my original goal. Making any kind of Progressive House just doesn't seem to be my forte. Doesn't bother me though, that's what pre-made loops and synthizers are for
Anyways, I'm glad that my background beats turned out very nicely with the frontal loops I used. My first one is the light thump while the cymbel-like noise is my second loop I made, I made several versions of each with more/less stuff in them for variation, but I only really used about 3 of each of them.
My favorite part is at the end of the song (About 2:00) is when I put in the loop with a little messing around with the Dry/Wet scale, I loved how it turned out.
My least favorite part, the beginning, but when your recording at 11 at night, you don't really give a shit about how you fade in the beginning now do you?
