This is Downtime [in studio right now!]
Dystopia - Mechanized super-states strip the individual from every freedom, mankind's communication is distorted, the awareness of its own history and values cut down." DOWNTIME attended to this idea, melting it with an specific combination of oldschool- and melodic death-metal, progressive metal and thrash, creating a package that sticks out of the masses of stereotype trend-metal through its trend- and timelessness. This highly explosive cocktail, brewed together by Sebastian Lammel (git.), Simon Baltruschat (git.), Björn Reis (bass), Lennart Eisenberg (dr.) and Dennis Hirth (voc.) every day, triggered the critics to unleash a wave of accolade and appreciation. "The band's great advantage is the successful exposure to melodies and the well-used but never uncontrolled brutality of their song material" writes the Legacy magazine, and even fellow musicians like Stephan Keller (Nearea) are excited. "[The music] has epic moments, hard, doomy, sometimes dreamy. [...] Very ageless." Concerning their live performance, DOWNTIME impress with massive stage presence, which they could prove on shows with Burden Of Grief, Deadsoil, Parkway Drive, Betzefer or Danish death icons Illdisposed. Straightforward death metal without obsolete escapades, driven by an healthy potion of self-esteem and inspired by the coldness of our time. Right now, DOWNTIME are in the studio, recording their up and coming LP called "To Perrish The Pantomime"...keep in touch for news on that!

And finally, the last step is to comment us with the link to your picture comment along with the name of your favorite 30 second clip on our playlist. That's it!
