Signup and Login
- How do I Signup?
- Go to our signup page and choose between a People profile, or a Music profile.
- Which profile type should I signup for?

- Trig People Profiles are for people who want to network, chat and socialize with their friends and other Trig members.
- Trig Music Profiles are for MUSICIANS to promote their own music; they are not for fans to upload their favorite bands' music.
- I have a Username and Password. How do I Login?
- You can login in at the Trig homepage. Enter your username and password to login.
Privacy & Security
- I forgot my username and/or password.
- Go to the Trig homepage. Click 'Forgot password?' and enter your email address. We will send you your account information.
- What if I've registered but still can't login?
- If you did not receive a confirmation email from Trig, please register again and make sure that the email address you enter is correct. We will send you a confirmation email. Click on the link provided in the email to complete the registration process. If you still have problems contact Customer Service. We will respond as soon as possible.
- I've logged in before, but now I can't log in.
- The username and password are case-sensitive, check to ensure you have typed them in correctly. If you are sure you typed in your username and password correctly then contact Customer Service. We will respond as soon as possible.
- I think somebody hacked or phished my account.
- If you think your account has been hacked, phished or removed, please contact us at Customer Service and we will help you as soon as possible.
- How do I change my Password?
- You must be logged in to change your password. From the 'My Profile' link in the header, click 'Settings' and then the 'Password' tab. Follow the instructions on the screen.
- How do I change my Username?
- From the 'My Profile' link in the header, click 'Settings' and then the 'User info' tab. Follow the instructions on the screen. You can only change your username once a month.
- How do I change my email address?
- You must be logged in to change your email address. From the 'My Profile' link in the header, click 'Settings' then click the 'Emails' tab. Follow the instructions on the screen.
- How can I delete my account?
- Please contact Customer Service.
User Profile & Settings
- How do I create a Trig profile?
- You have a Trig profile as soon as you have registered, and defaults have been set for you in that profile. You can personalize it by adding your picture, adding your biography and editing the settings.
- How do I edit my Trig profile?
- You must be logged in to edit your profile. From the 'My Profile' link in the header, click 'Settings' at the top. Here you find the options that you can edit.
- How can I change my Trig profile skin?
- You must be logged in to change your profile skin. From the 'My Profile' link in the header, click 'Settings' then click the 'Profile Skin' tab. Choose the skin you like and click 'Save'.
- How can I modify my Trig profile skin?
- You can't modify the profile skin. You have the choice between the skins that are displayed under the 'Profile Skin' tab.
- How can I activate or disable features on my profile for other users?
- You must be logged in to activate or disable features. From the 'My Profile' link in the header, click 'Settings' at the top then the 'Feature' tab. Check the features that you want to be displayed or uncheck the features that you do not want displayed. Click 'Save' to update your settings.
- How can I add or modify my biography?
- You must be logged in to add or modify your biography. From your Trig profile click 'Biography' then click the 'Edit Biography' button. Now you can enter information about yourself and choose options under Info that apply to you. Click 'Save' to update your settings.
- How can I change my personal information?

- You must be logged in. From the 'My Profile' link in the header, click 'Settings' at the top then click the 'User info' tab. Enter your information and click 'Save' to update the information.
- You must be logged in. Select the 'Biography' tab then click 'Edit'. Leave a personal note about yourself and check the options you want on the right hand side. Click 'Save changes' to update your information.
- How can I upload my profile picture?
- You must be logged in to upload a profile picture. Click your blank or existing profile image, or 'Settings' at the top, and then click the 'Picture' tab. Select the image you want to upload and click 'Save' to upload your image. The size should be 1 Mb or less.
- I am having problems when uploading a picture to my profile.
- We allow most image formats, but not PSD. The size of the picture should be 1Mb or less.
- How can I delete my profile picture?
- To delete your profile picture you must click your profile image, or 'Settings' at the top, and then click the 'Picture' tab. Select 'Delete profile picture' and click 'Save'.
- Where can I change the time zone setting?
- You must be logged in to change your time zone settings. From the 'My Profile' link in the header, click 'Settings' at the top then click the 'Time zone' tab. Select your time zone from the list. Please choose the right time zone so your posts and comments appear with the correct dates.
Posting Issues
- How can I create a new blog post?
- You must be logged in to create a new blog post. From your Trig profile click 'Blog' followed by 'Create a new post'. Fill out the required fields. Your blog post will be posted after clicking 'Create post'.
- Can I use my own markup language?
- You can't use your own markup language, but the text editor is a WYSIWYG tool which allows you to alter things like font size, font color, etc. Please use this while creating messages/posts.
- I created a new blog post but it is not posted. Please help.
- You have to click 'Create post' after you have written a new post. Only then the new blog post will be posted. If you keep having problems, please contact Customer Service.
- How can I create a new blog post using my mobile phone?
- In order to create blog post from your phone, you need to create a unique email address. You must be logged in, and then click 'Settings' then the Emails tab. Click 'Generate'. You only need to create the unique email account once. In order to create a new blog post, you only have to fill in a title in the email subject box, type your text and send the message to the generated email address. This account can also be used to upload images to your gallery.
- How can I edit my blog posts?
- You must be logged in to edit a blog post. From your Trig profile click 'Blog' followed by the post you wish to edit. Click the edit button and make your changes. Click 'Save changes' to save your modified post.
- How can I modify a blog post of somebody else?
- You can't modify blog posts that are not yours. If you think that the content of the blog post is incorrect, please send the writer your comments. In case that you think that the content of the blog post is inappropriate, please click 'Report it' at the bottom of the Trig page.
- How can I create my own Gallery?
- You must be logged in to create your gallery. From your Trig profile click 'Gallery' then 'Upload image(s)'. Select the images you want to upload, followed by 'Upload!'.
- I am having problems while uploading an image to my Gallery.
- First check the format of the image. We allow most image formats, but not PSD, for example. The size of the image should be 1Mb or less. If you still have problems contact Customer Service, who will respond as soon as possible.

- In order to create gallery entry from your phone, you need to create a unique email address. You must be logged in, and then click 'Settings' then the Emails tab. Click 'Generate'. You only need to create the unique email account once. In order to upload a image to your gallery, you only have to attach the image to your email. You can add a title in the email subject box and you can type your image description in the text box. Send the message to the generated email address. This account can also be used to create blog posts.
- How can I modify the tags of the images in my Gallery?
- You must be logged in to modify the tags of the images in your gallery. From your profile, click 'Gallery' then click the 'edit' icon on the image you want to modify. Click 'Save' after you have made your changes.
Interaction
- What is Trigging/What is a Trig?
- You can show a user your appreciation by Trigging objects on their profile. Triggable objects include:
- a user's profile
- blog entries
- gallery images
- comments
- forum posts
- songs (for Music profiles)
- How do I give Trigs?
- If you want to Trig somebody just click the Trig! button on the object you want to Trig. You can only Trig each object once.
- How will I get Trigs?
- People will Trig your stuff when the see something they like. The more active you are, the more likely you are to be noticed in Live'n'Direct, or in the Forums if you post there.
- How can I invite somebody from the Trig community to become my friend?
- There are two ways to add a member as a friend.
- Go to profile of the user you want to add as a friend. Then click the 'add to friends' icon or text, just above the tabs.
- When you are browsing for people, you just need to click the '+' on the pictures that are displayed.
- How can I accept a friend request?
- You need to be logged in. Click your Friends tab and then 'Incoming friend requests'. Hover over the invitation you want to accept, and click 'Accept'.
- How can I deny a friend request?
- You need to be logged in. Click your Friends tab and then 'Incoming friend requests'. Hover over the invitation you want to deny, and click 'Deny'.
- How can I accept/deny all friend requests?
- You need to be logged in. Click your Friends tab and then 'Incoming friend requests'. Just below Multi friend request, you click 'Accept all' to accept all friends requests or you click 'Deny all' to deny all friends requests.
- How can I delete a friend from my friends list?
- Go to your Trig profile. Click the Friends tab, select the friend that you want to remove from you friends list, and then click the 'delete' button.
- One of my friends has disappeared from my friends list. How is this possible?
- Your friend might have removed you from their friends list. If you are sure that this is not the case, please send your message to Customer Service, who will respond as soon as possible.
- How can I search for friends?
- Hover over the 'Browse' tab in the header, and then type the name you want to look for in the search field. You need to be logged in to add friends.
- How can I add tags to my friends?

- You can add tags immediately after approving an invitation of someone in the Trig community.
- You can modify or add extra tags by clicking the 'Friends' tab on your Trig profile. Select the friend, click the edit button, update the tags, and then click 'Save changes'.
- How can I send messages?

- You need to be logged in. From your Trig profile, click 'Messages', then click 'Compose', and then fill out the text fields and click 'Send'.
- You need to be logged in. Go to the profile of your friend. Click the 'send a message to this member' icon or text just above the tabs. Fill out the text fields and click 'Send'.
- How can I control who is sending me messages?
- You need to be logged in. From your Trig profile, click 'Settings' at the top. Here you find the tab 'Feature & privacy'. Check the options you want.
- How can I stop receiving messages from a certain person?
- Open the message from the person, you do not want to receive messages from. Then block the user by clicking Ø. This does not mean that this person is removed from your friends list. The user only can't send messages anymore.
- How can I stop receiving messages from anyone?
- You need to be logged in. From you Trig profile, click 'Settings' at the top. Here you find the option 'Feature & privacy'. Check the feature 'Don't allow messages'.
- How is it possible that I can not send a message to someone?
- If you can't send a message to one certain person, this person might have blocked you. In case that you are sure you are not blocked, please send a message to Customer Service. We will respond as soon as possible.
- How can I control who is sending me chat requests?
- You need to be logged in. From your Trig profile, click 'Settings'at the top. Here you find the option 'Feature & privacy'. Check the option you prefer.
- How can I add comment to someone's profile?
- You can leave a profile comment there where you see 'Your comment'. Type your message and click 'Post' to publish it.
- How can I approve comments?
- You need to be logged in. From your Trig profile, click 'Comments'. Here you approve the comments that you want to be published under your post entries.
- I can't leave comments on entries of certain users.
- Some people prefer writing, but aren't so bothered about reading comments, so they turn them off. If you really want to leave the user a comment, try to send them a message.
- How can I report inappropriate comments?
- Please fill out a feedback form. The form will open when you click the link 'Is this inappropriate? Report it.' You will find this link at the bottom of Trig pages.
- How can I delete comments?
- You need to be logged in. From your Trig profile, click 'Comments'. Here you delete the comments that you don't want to be published on your profile.
- How can I delete comments that I've made?
- Currently, you can't. Your comments can only be deleted by the owner of the profile where you left them.
- How can I upload images to my gallery?
- Go to your Gallery. Click 'Upload image(s)'. Follow the instructions and click 'Upload!'
- How can I add title to a image in my gallery?
- Go to your Gallery. Click the edit button. Change the data you want and click 'Save'
- How can I add a comment to someone's image?
- Click the image. A text box will open. Type your comment and click 'Post'. Depending on the privacy setting of the user, your comments will published directly or after approval of the user.
RSS Feeds
- What are RSS Feeds?
- RSS is a file format. The RSS feeds allow you to see when certain Trig profiles have added new content. You can get the latest blog post updates, gallery updates, comment updates, and Trigs in just one place as soon as its published without having to visit the profiles you have taken the RSS feed from.
- How can I start using RSS Feeds?
- In order to use RSS Feeds you need an RSS-reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and makes it possible for you to read any new update in the Trig community. There are many different RSS-readers, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications.
- What kind of RSS-readers are available?

- Browser-based RSS-readers let you catch up with your RSS feed subscriptions from any computer. Examples of browser based RSS-readers are:

- Some browsers, like Internet Explorer 7, Firefox, Safari and Opera, automatically check for feeds when you visit a webpage, and display an orange icon in the address bar when they find one. This makes subscribing to feeds much easier. For more details on these browsers go to their websites.
- How can I use RSS feeds and RSS Readers?

Once you have chosen a RSS reader, all you have to do is to decide what kind content you want it to receive. We show you the options you can choose from on the right hand side at the bottom of a Trig page.
If you click the text link beside the orange button you can subscribe to the feed by copy and pasting the URL in the address bar as a new feed into your news reader.
