A FireFly Is Born

Where should I start then?
I really hate writing these kind of things, 'cause it always seems like I'm some kind of supernatural crossbreeding who's got no weakness whatsoever. But that's not the case.

I was born in april 1988 in the dark forests of Sweden. I started playing guitar at the age of 12 and got my first electric guitar when I was 15. Music had always been an important part of my life and I used to drive my parents and friends insane with my neverending singing.
I attended music school at the age of 16, and that was the first contact with music theory I had ever had.
"What the f#&% is a chord? Oh, does these three tones form a chord together?"
As you can see, I didn't have a clue what I was doing as long as I didn't do it by ear.

But I learned, and I decided that I would really try to learn as much as I could. At first, everything I learned was just separate pieces to me, but then I started to connect them and get the whole picture. It all started to make sense.

I've learned that my interest in music comes from my inability to express myself. I've always had a hard time talking about what I'm feeling and stuff like that. By making music, I realized that I could release a great deal of the pressure inside me, without really having to talk about/solve the problem.

I try to play and combine a wide range of styles in my music, anything from cool jazz to heavy metal, but the most important thing is that I always try to have some sort of direction with every single riff I make. I just hate bands who make music that really is just four different power chords put together to sound as dissonant as possible, and then they say "We're angry! We are so fucking madly in anger with the world and we want to show it! AAAARRRRRRGH!!!" (the sub-text here is: they aren't really that angry, it's just an excuse to make as much money they can out of it before people realize they really are not a group of musical geniuses). Anyway, that talk is just bullshit and I hate it. It's no hard making chords that doesn't fit into the same scale or mode sound dissonant, the tricky part comes in making it sound harmonic.

Well, I think I've covered some of the most important things here. Gotta get a guy to write these sort of stuff for me 'til next time.  If you would like to contact me, please send a mail to:
