Hey everybody!
(Hi FireFly!) ^^

I just got home from doing two gigs supporting a project fighting narcotics! It was awesome!
Me and all these really talented musicians grouped together to do two concerts to collect money for a noble purpose. That's the kind of stuff that makes you feel like you're helping to make the world a better place!

I'll upload pics from the gigs in a few days once I've collected all of them from the photographers!

New Update 4 Y'all!

So, this is it!

The band and I discussed a little about what's going to happen in the next few weeks.

We decided that the name of the band, Titanium 22, should be pronounced "T I 22" or just "Titanium". But of course, as long as everyone knows what band you're talking about, we won't strangle you with our guitar strings if you still say "Titanium 22".

TI22 will enter their new rehearsal studio this upcoming weekend, and we'll start writing songs for a demo cd, which will be all done before July. Just becaaaaaaaaaaaause...!

...In July, I (FireFly, for those of you who didn't know ) am going to Los Angeles, CA. Wohoooo! I'm going to stay there for almost a month and I'll bring a suitcase filled up with demo cd's. And guess what? I'm going to hand 'em out on the streets for free! So, if you like FireFly Music and you feel like getting some more "experi-metal", YOU SHOULD (!!!) keep both eyes open for exact dates in this blog. ('cause what would the point be to write all this if I didn't plan to let you know when to visit the fine city of angels?)

And!! And, and, AND!!! If someone feel like giving me a tour through this lovely city, feel free to let me know! I'd be more than pleased to see what LA has to offer a small-town-musician like me.

So, that's about it. As I wrote somewhere up there with all the other funny letters, KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR DATES, and YOU will be the owner of TI22's brand new demo cd! (and of course I'll sign it, if anyone would like a perfectly fine cd to be ruined by my rather terrible spelling and writing. Haha.)

So, I'm joining this new band here in Trollhättan, Sweden.
The band is a 5-piece band named Titanium 22 (TI22).

As soon as everything has settled with the preparations and stuff, we'll get ourselves a Trig page.

I'm going to continue my work as a solo artist, but I wont be producing songs as frequently as before. I'm going to put most of my time and efforts into this band now..

That's pretty much it for now. I'll be back with more info about the new band as soon as possible!

New Equipment!

I've bought some new equipment this month. The guitar (some of you might have seen it in the gallery) and this afternoon my new amp arrived!
I haven't got the chance to take photos of it yet, I've been reading the manual (god, do people actually read those cheap books?) and trying out the new stuff.

For the club of interest notes, I can tell you that it's an Ibanez Thermion, the first Ibanez tube amp with no solid state at all. Comes with a 4x12" speaker cabinet and a really cool footswitch.
I'll get pictures of it and post them in my gallery tomorrow, promise (if anyone at all would care to see what it looks like ).

Sceletons recorded!

Okey, now I'm updating you all again. (well, at least my mom and dad who I force to read this shit.)

I've recorded the sceletons of two of the songs I'm going to record this winter. They actually turned out pretty good, can't wait 'til I get the chance to hear them with drums, bass and lyrics.

Funny Sounding Guitar!

So, here we go again, another day, another update!

My guitar started sounding really crappy the other day.. I don't really know what's going on with it, but the problem is that there are three different tones coming out of the same string and fret.. Well it actually sounds pretty cool, but if I'm writing a less experimental song, I would rather have a guitar that sticks to sounding how it's originally supposed to sound.

What else? Yeah, autumn is closing up. I've developed some ideas for the demo I'm going to record with Johan Karlsson and Niklas Bryngelsson and I think they turned out pretty good for being at the first stage of creation.

New Line Up Starting To Shape

I've been working like crazy on the songs for the new album that's being recorded in the summer. We're still looking for one or two more musicians, but the line up is:

Jimmy Andersson - Guitars, Vocals
Johan Karlsson - Drums
Niklas Bryngelsson - Bass

I've also accomplished to totally crash down my computer and destroy every single piece of recording that ever was on it.
I've managed to re-install the studio, but I'll have to start over with the songs which Noxx would add his creative mind to.

Drummer Found!

Yey, I just got thumbs up from the talented drummer Johan Karlsson that we'll record some of my songs in the summer.
This means I won't have to get my drum machine fixed. (I've tried for almost a month, but even though I've "fixed it" over and over and over again, it's still not working. )

This also means that the new songs won't be up until late summer, but there will hopfully be several more songs recorded at the same time.

The Story About Arcademy!

Okay, I thought I would tell the story behind my new song Arcademy. Mostly since it differs a lot from my regular music genre, but also 'cause it's a really great story.

You see, I study a course named "digital creation" in school. My teacher asked me what I wanted to learn. "Anything that's got with music or sound to do", I answered. "Ah, I know what would be perfect for you", he said. Then he locked me up in a small room with a digital piano and a laptop with a really primitive version of Cubase installed.
"Here you go, read the manuals and learn how to record a MIDI song", he told me and left.
"What the hell", I thought. "Well, let's get to work then."

And here it is, 2 months of writing, recording, editing, mixing and loads of other stuff later, the song called Arcademy.

Yeah, it's been a crazy weekend, with crazy happanings and crazy inspiration.
I'm beginning to finish off my new tunes and I have absolutely no idea where some of the licks and stuff came from. (they might be a product of me being sick and not being allowed to speak for 3 days ‎)

Whatever, I really hope the studio will be here sometime soon. My fingers are really starting to itch.
