Final Fantasy IV: The After possibly translated?

Square's Takashi Tokita says that Final Fantasy 4: The After may actually be localized for a Western release!

Questioned about the possibility of more Final Fantasy 4 remakes, Tokita (producer/director of the DS remake) replied:

  • We just remade it, so it's a bit of a stretch... Currently the sequel, Final Fantasy 4: The After, is available for mobile phones in Japan. We'll do our best to make this game available for our overseas audiences as well!

As to how this would work on Western mobiles is unknown, but its graphics aren't too advanced, so here's hoping it's possible!

Man, SE pisses me off when they do shit like this...

IV never needed a sequel in my book...it was fine the way it was. Not to mention that its the most redone FF in the whole series...they re-released the damn thing 4 times!

Ugh. I'll get over it...
