So... I'm only on day 3 of the new training...
Everyone in here has all their Microsoft certs and their networking/cisco certs and talk about how much collage they have had and all that shizz.
Then the entro's start rolling in of everyone telling everyone how much more they know about this and that....
I decide to be different and stand up and talk about myself. Not my experience. But who I am and what I like. I talk about friends, family, xbox, halo. Not a damn thing about my experience. I'll let my job take care of that when I get out of training. So anyways. I take my first test on the boeing knowledge base. Basically its a test of how well you know how to navigate the system. Being able to help the customers and shiz just like the Comcast HSI knowledge base.
Well I start poking around in there and find the answers to all these questions. I answered every question correctly. I am even comfortable helping customers when they call on these network issues. Once the test is over it grades us....
I GOT A 65%!!!! Every question told me... "Close" but not how we want you to do it. So instead of getting the total 5 points correct on each question, I averaged about 2-3 a question.
So I'm gonna put Brian's philosophy to this like I usually do. I understand Boeing wants me to help a customer a certain way. When it comes down to the call though, Brian is going to do what he has to do to make that customer happy. If I have to search a knowledge base a certain way to help that customer... and it gets the same results as someone who has slept and bread over this knowledge base. Then I am going to be able to go to sleep with a smile on my face.
Now... work is over in 2 hours... then...
Its halo time.
Have a good one guys.
