This project was conceived in order to raise money in memory of our good friend, Trace who passed away in December 2006.

I first met Trace in 2001. We’d actually known each other for a year or three before this as members of the Dogs D’Amour/Tyla Yahoo group. Trace was one of the more active members. She was one of those people whose personality shone in her messages, her unique writing style and bold sense of humour winning her many friends. She was a generous soul who would do anything in her power to help like minded fans, whether that be finding sleeping/floor space for struggling up and coming bands or helping folk out who were considering selling their valued record collection when times were tough.

Inspired by her spirit and attitude during a valiant fight against Breast Cancer and supported by her friends who have already raised a lot of money I decided to try and find some way of raising money in her memory…A few years ago I discussed with some other fans the possibility of recording our own Dog’s D’Amour tribute album. This was to have been very much ‘by the fans, for the fans’ however due to lack of time, money and organisation nothing came of the idea. Now we have a cause and the album can be released as a download, thereby cutting costs rather dramatically !

Tyla and the Dogs D'Amour have provided the soundtrack to our lives, we’ve had a lot of pleasure from the music and the company of the fans and band members themselves. Tyla's given his blessing and pledged his support to our project.
It's time to give something back !
