HELLENNIUM was born in Gothenburg on Swedish soil at 9th of February 2004. The following year the band moved north to Uddevalla city. The band was formed out of the passion for the sake of real and honest heavy metal thriving and the dislike of mediocrity and falseness in the industry of music. Fronted by lead singer Khaled El Tayara, originating from the eastern fire of Lebanon. As quoted by Khaled; "Back in the 90s, heavy metal was totally banned in Lebanon so you had to fight your way underground for your belief in this music". Completed with guitaristpair David Borg-Hansen // Martin Lindberg, bassplayer Linus Palmqvist, as well as drummer Dave ONeill.
The debut of HELLENNIUM, VISIONS OF ARMAGEDDON, was released at March 28th 2005. Several magazines across Europe such as ROCK HARD MAGAZINE delievered the band their interest. Fans began to send letters along with photos from such wide nations as Germany and Finland, as well as South America. HELLENNIUM soon discovered that maybe the fans were few in number, but dedicated as hell.
Post two years of offerings and blood; HELLENNIUM united the two nations Norway and Sweden on their fist tour named; CRUSADE FOR HEAVY METAL TOUR 2006. The band gave their blood in 8 cities and collected numerous new fans, stamina and strength. HELLENNIUM met attention in Norwegian as well as in Swedish Press. The show in Trollhättan - Sweden, was filmed by SVT (Swedish Television), as part of a rockumentary, scheduled for broadcast in 2007.
The show at Huset - Åmål, Sweden proved to be the most successful up to date; HELLENNIUM performed to a crazy legion of fans. One fan even banged his head literally to the stage; causing blood pouring forth. Post the show when the band was heading for the tourbus and next city; they were stormed by their heavy metal alliance of fans pleading for signed posters. No words will ever do justice to the strong reception the band got in Åmål! HELLENNIUM has made a vowel to return there once again; waving the flag of heavy metal with more determination than ever before. Post the tour HELLENNIUM took on the stage of famous nightclub named VALAND in Gothenburg; performing to their biggest crowd so far. The band is now back and stronger than ever!
In November 2008, HELLENNIUM returned to ROCKBUNKERN venue in Uddevalla, playing a cheered gig and was overwhelmed by signing and photosession post the show. And at December 20th 2008, HELLENNIUM marched into FOLKETS HUS in UDDEVALLA - SWEDEN as SUPPORTING ACT for SABATON on their Art Of War World Tour! Late February 2009, HELLENNIUM headlined MILITÄRPALATSET in BORÅS, and shook the ground // stage. That show saw fans uniting from Kungsbacka // Uddevalla among others, in hired cars, just to see the band. The dedication from the fans this band has seen so far, can never be described in words, it has been carved into our hearts forever!
HELLENNIUM is right now working on a brand new record and preparing for more liveshows.
