I realise I've been posting up stuff from like ten years ago,  So I wanted to post something recent.  When I was asked to try out for Pinion, I wrote lyrics to what is now called "this empty shell"  It is loosely based about the way I felt not playing music,  feeling defeted, like I've never made anything of myself.  Our Drummer Charles gave me a challenge with our newest song.  He asked me to write about how love is like a switchblade.  I feel it's one of out heaviest songs yet I can't wait for you guys to hear it.  We'll hopfully have it posted on the site next week.  Here are lyrics to the new Pinion song


Cornered, a dark alley dead end
I fear, what is to come

she moves so quickly
like falling rain
so sharp, so fast
with a delicate hand
she holds the power
so hard to stand up
cut through the skin
now I'm forced to man up

On my knees
she is above me
a dark reflection
in puddles
wounded body
I am struggling
to regain
my senses

The cut was so deep
But I begged for more
Wanting to have her
I can't ignore
she concealed the key to my heart
black stealth in her hand
the fire built inside me
