Finally, the fruits of my CodeMonkey'ing are starting to show. I am definitely proud to say that I was the primary CodeMonkey behind http://www.ikea.ca/mattress and am very happy as to how it turned out. Combined with a Flash designer and two graphic designers, managed by a saavy yet edgy project manager, we managed to churn this site out in extremely good time. Aside from the video encoding and cueing, my work is not really seen on the surface... but then again, what CodeMonkey stuff is often seen? However, I'm more resposible for the inner logic of the site, such as the mattress selection and matching routines as well as a cue point generator to signal the main site in order to interact with the video, such as turning down the music (again, the sound aspect was my area as well), moving the menus and so on. If anything, I got to put a few principles from my last book to good usage. Mind you, I still have to show the other Flash dude the finer points of programming, such as not making these monstrous methods that one could choke on. Other than that, I think that under the circumstances, everything turned out just fine. I'm very happy at how the site turned out.
I won't ruin the moment by talking about the next project I'm working on, that I not as excited about.

If it is not to much trouble can you tell me the name of the song that plays in the intro to the mattress site? I've been trying to find that out for a while and not having anu luck. -
