Discovered Monkey Island today! I know its a couple of years late... but hey I'm working on my nerd status so gimme some cred

A not too wild guess is that Pirates of the Caribbean got some inspiration from the game, and since I loved the Pirates movies, I will probably be equally fond of this game.

    Well, pirates of the caribbean is mainly inspired by Pirates! I think, although they might have gotten some ideas from Monkey Island. What game is it you found? I would REALLY recommend the first and second, since they are by far the best games. EVAR!
