Well, things are slowly going back to normal around here.
My parents are doing better. Mom has a broken collarbone and is wearing a brace for it. Her stitches were taken out on the 19th and her bruises are slowly going away. Dad's knee is still swollen, but he can move around. They went back to work yesterday! I'm so relieved.
ALL my brothers and sisters came up to see Mom and Dad that weekend. I was kinda relieved. I honestly thought I'd have to do it all by myself. All afternoon that day, I kept in touch with two of my sisters. I was pretty much the informant, the chauffeur and...um...well I did do a lot of shit for everyone. Noel's the General (as Karen calls her) and Jean's the Second-in-Command (again Karen said it).
It was so funny though. Bryan kept telling Mom that the soup that Jeanie made was just water and veggies. There was no love in the soup. Stuff like that. Then Kevin jumps in with, "Next time, I'm going to make sure there's lobster in the soup, Ma!"
Then Bryan takes two dollars and his MetroCard out of his wallet and says to Mom, "I will give you two dollars and a MetroCard if you tell everyone I'm the good son!"
I'm sorry, Bry, but I'M the good one. You didn't pick up Mom and Dad from the hospital. You didn't help Mom off of the toilet and help her get dressed. You didn't help Mom up the stairs so she could lie down in her bed. You didn't comfort her as she cried. You didn't comfort Dad when HE cried. You didn't drop off the car keys at the body shop. You didn't drive back to town so their prescriptions could be filled. You didn't drive them all the way to Factoryville for a doctor's appointment. Guess what? I DID ALL THAT! And I barely slept the first week they were home.
Anyway....now that THAT'S out of my system, I just want to thank everyone for thinking of us. I really do appreciate it!

Crazy Monkey and I are going to see Evanescence in December! I'm so excited. Fifth row too! Well after the mosh pit, but that's not bad at all!
I seriously need another job... I am fucking sick of the damn company. I want out!
