I have to say that I love how one piece of music or one song can make you feel completely different to how you felt before hearing it.
It can remind you of certain situations or events in your life, both good and bad, in such a short space of time it truly is amazing.
It can make you smile or cry within a bar or two and can make you suddenly walk with a spring in your step or crash about like a maniac - but in a fun enjoyable way!

My songs of today have been :-

American Head Charge - Just So You Know.
HIM - Poison Girl
Turisas - To Holmgard and Beyond.
Lacrimas Profundere - My Velvet Little Darkness.

I thank the bands that have produced these fine songs and how they have made me feel today.

Of course! Memories from the cup final and from humping the Hibees!

I know you meant the footie - don't worry! I even know that it would have been Hearts that were playing too......am I right?

    Yip, that was rather funny.

And I just want to make clear that when I said sing-a-long to the White Stripes, I mean at a footie match not at a gig. 'Cos, well, I wouldn't be seen dead at one of their gigs...

In that light another good sing-along song and memory would have to be from last thursday and everyone singing "Naa Naa Na Na Naa, Nana Nana Naa Na Naa Naa Naa'......or Iron Man for those those that don't speak "NaaNaa"

Having not revised for my Standard Grades and not done anything since then, I can't share my 'revision' song. However, a song with great memories attached is The White Stripes 'Seven Nation Army'. Thanks to a sing-a-long at Hampden Park on a glorious day in may '06.

    Good blog!

Rather fittingly "Under Pressure" reminds me of my first go at Higher Physics....I failed the first time, got a B the second time. Which wasn't too bad considering that I was attempting the Higher without having done any of the subject since basic science class in second year really! We were in the lab revising before going into the exam and the teacher switched the radio on and that was the first song to come on,,,,,,and you can probably guess what particular stuff we were revising at that moment too!

Yes, I agree....although my plan to revise my chemistry for my final degree to Chopin does make certain rather wonderful piano pieces remind me a little too much of thermodynamics...
