Malus Murder

I have no musical talent whatsoever. But I've always wanted to be a guitarist in a band. I love everything about the music industry from forming a band to playing your first show to (hopefully) landing a record deal. So what is an unmusical girl to do? I'm an English major and I love to make shit up sooooo... I'll be a guitarist in a novel I'm working on! Her name is Deliah and she's the lead guitarist in a band called The Vampires. The band go form nameless nobodies to a big success in the industry. The book chronicles their journey on the road and the people they meet along the way. Drugs, booze, and sex seem to replace love, friendship, and family almost as soon as they make it in life. Everyday is a struggle to keep their sanity and souls in a world glamorized on TV. When I began this novel a few months ago, Deliah was just like me. As time went on, she became more of a "this is the way I want to be" type of person. So no worries about the dreaded Mary Sue of the story. If, by  any chance, anyone was to read the entire thing, they miiiight notice a few famous rockstars appearing at different times. I won't name any names but if you're a true fan, you'll know who they are.
