Maxwells Dead have been a band for about 3-4 years.. We didnt start getting anywhere until about a year ago.
We are a Punk Rock Trio from Monikie Village in Angus but our hometown is also Carnoustie. We used to be a quartet but Calum decided to leave the band to do other things and we wish him all the best for wotever he does. At the moment the band is really into ska and reggae stuff right now... its good fun :P. Even tho there is some ska coming in, we still like to play our music fast, melodic, bouncin and fun!! weve wrote songs from Muzz bein thick for who he is, to David Fyffe the roadies homosexuality and shit bout society and all that jazz. We have played some amazing gigs, and some shit gigs, but we try our best to keep everyone enjoying themselves, even if it doesnt work. We are still wanting to go further with MD and play in more places and get ourselves more known. We have played in venues in Carnoustie, Dundee, Aberdeen, Monifeith, Arbroath, Broughty Ferry, Monikie and nearly Glasgow haha. Heres some shit about us... We dont like Emo kids. We are probably the only punk band in Carnoustie Jeff has old man hair, Russells on a mission..... And Muzz plays slap bass in his own time. We have a roady called Dave Fyffe. Hes always at an MD gig and always with the band, Legend!. Anyways theres probz more to tell but its getin into a big story. If anyone wants us to play at a gig anywhere, just message us and we will message back asap. New recordings have finally been put up! more and more stuff is all yet to come!!
