Rock on all triggers out there!

Alright, many of us have been on different concerts, some have been good, some bad, some totally awesome! so this blog is dedicated to all these concerts. Memories of great concerts!

Which is your best concert you´ve been to so far??
Here´s my top 3:

1.METALLICA - Stockholm Stadium 2007 / July 12
This was simply magic, HIM was opener this night (they were way better on the hultsfredfestival 2006). This awesome night METALLICA played all their major hits
and some cool songs like "orion". Also: A cool bass solo with trujillo playing the bass like a freaking bongo drum in the middle of the concert. It seemed like the old rockers never wanted to leave the stage. They played in 2h and 45 minutes. The 30 000 in the crowd sang every word of the songs. They went off stage and returned 3 times. The show got 5/5 reviews from every newspaper in town next day. Awesome concert and a great memory.

2.IRON MAIDEN - Stockholm Stadium 2003 / June 28
Def one of my favorite concerts, Maiden played all their hits and the Swedish maiden fans were crazy!!. What a sing a long night. I also saw them live in "the globe" here in Stockholm 2006 (when they almost only played the songs from their new album), but the stadium concert were way better. 30 000+ in the audience. Great memory.

3.MOTLEY CRUE - Stockholm Globe 2007 / June 5
The old legendaries returned to Sweden. This was pretty awesome. Great show in the globe with song like "Kickstart my heart", "Shout at the devil, "Dr Feelgood".. great pyrotechnics's and Tommy Lee gave the audience Jaegermeisters in the middle of the concert. damn cool. Also: The opener this night was one of my favorite bands: Papa Roach. This night was magic!

Alright: that was some of my greatest concert memories: which are yours? tell us. It would be so cool to read! And feel free to write as much as you want! A blog filled with great musical stories/memories open for everyone out there! ;)

skåååål and have a rocking bloody Sunday!

It is impossible to pick just one concert b/c i've been to so many so i'll list a couple:
    1. A7X- My best concert memory i guess would have to be at A7X.  I went to their show in St.L for my 18th birthday and man was it a good one!  I was an idiot and decided to wait outside for an hour before the doors open w/o a coat, so by the time my mom and I got in, i couldn't feel my body at all.  The line-up for the night was the best in a single concert--Black Tide, The Confession, Operator and then A7X.  During Operator, Johnny Strong pointed his hand at me and kind of motioned his hand like he wanted me to bring it and keep singing, which was cool.  At the end of A7X amazing performance, i noticed Zacky V was taking something off the stage and it was the set list.  The whole time i kept thinking, please give it to me, please, please!  So he walked over towards me (i was standing at the gate right in front of him during the concert) and he held it out in front of him.  Me and the girl standing next to me had our arms stretched out and when she tried to grab it, he pulled it back and gave it to me!  That was the most awesome thing and the best birthday i've ever had!
    2. Pointfest-  We have this show a couple times every year where i'm from and this one was very memorable for me.  Bullet For My Valentine is one of my fav bands ever and they were headlining second stage.  I always make sure to get in the very front of the crowd next to the gate so i can rock out really hard and get awesome pics.  There was lots of moshing, headbanging, and crowd-surfing leaving me happily injured (the pain is ALWAYS worth it).  It was one of the best times i've ever had and rocked out really hard, even though i do that anyway,  It just so happened that i entered a contest to win backstage passes to meet them and my entry won!  When i got back there, getting my poster signed and talking to the band, who were extremely nice, Padge was the last guy to sign my poster at the table.  I told him "Hi, you guys were FREAKING AWESOME!"  and he said, "I remember you, you were in the front row!"  That was one of the coolest moments in my entire life!
    3. Hatebreed (Ozzfest 2007)- This one ranked at my top b/c, duh, it's Hatebreed and b/c it was the best time i have ever had moshing--totally insane!  Somehow we ended up in the middle of the pit every time and i was in the middle of taking a pic and in the middle of a circle pit and got knocked down.  I busted my knuckles and now the LCD screen on my aunt's camera won't work.  I wasn't on the ground, but literally maybe 2 seconds before a very nice guy grabbed me up and asked if i was ok--i thought it was very sweet and i was grateful that he didn't let me get trampled, but it would have been worth it!

    My favourite concert was:

KMFDM (for the album Xtort) in 1995. I was 18, it was my first show, and I was in awe. Sasha and En Esch are brilliant on-stage and the backup vocalist wore hot pants and fishnets. How can this be bad?! Haha. "Brute" was by far their best song of the night. Mmm.

I was on the balcony for the show, and standing over the center of the Mosh Pit. There was a HUGE motherfucker in the pit, his wrists taped to the center of his forearms, and if anyone got too rowdy, he would pummel them. They call him the "pit manager". Every show should have one, in my opinion. I almost want to say that this was the best part, but yea. *laugh*

After the show we went backstage and then to a club. I danced and drank with Sasha and En Esch. At 18 years old, this was excellent for me!! I was smitten, haha.

    1. Metallica (actually, any one of the 8 shows that I have been to!)

    2. Lamb of God (with Slayer, Mastodon, and Thine Eyes Bleed in July 2006)
Lamb of God has the best lighting tech!

    3. OzzFest 2007 (all of the bands ROCKED!!!)

Those are the international acts that I've seen, but by far the very best shows are done by the local bands!  There is something about seeing a band play in their home town...

My number one would have to be Mushroomhead old school night at Peabodys-Roxy and J Mann were both there and I was in front row. Roxy gave me something from the stage and I got one of the fucked up babydolls off the stage. I walked out of there soaking wet! It was amazing! They put on the best show that I have ever seen. I've seen them 3 times now and another in two weeks. Its nice being close to cleveland were they're from.
Number 2 would be Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH at the Crews Stadium-It was the first annual and sold out with 40,000 ppl. the first 10,000 got special braclets to get into the pit on the main stage. Our group got those and made it to the front during Breaking Benjamin and Buckcherry I left and went to the other stage and saw black stone cherry, puddle of mudd, and papa roach in front row. It was an amazing day!
Number 3 would be Critical Bill and Drowning Pool at Peabodys-This is the first time I saw Critical Bill and the 2nd time I saw Drowning Pool. Met all of both band and we all hung out and they performed amazing. I love both those bands for life. I got a tattoo of DP's autographs from that show.

    O.K. sounds fun:
MY first would have to be Lallapalooza 97 in Nashville TN.  Tool(my fave), James, Snoop Dogg, and many others.  Cool people and cool bands.  Met the guitarist from Tricky and fell in love with them there.
2nd would have to be ICP on the Carnival tour.  I saw them 3 times, but this time we were in a performance hall and we all burned a large pile of shirts.  People hanging from the rafters and FAGO spraying into your mouth from the stage just when you think you are going to die of thirst.  You gotta love those fucking clowns. And their mosh pits.
Third would have to be Korn, although I didn't see their show. HED PE opened with another group and I got to meet the guys from those bands, and just before Korn came on my friends and I were ushered to their tour busses where we waited for them.  After that we went to their hotel and hung out for a while.  That was a most eventfull night!

    1. The 69 Eyes,  3 may 2007 Stockholm, Klubben
The first time I saw the vampires live, and it was amazing. They were so great live and aften that day they become my favourite band. The same day a couple of hours before the concert they had a autograph signing at a recordstore, and i got a hug from Jyrki. But its not over yet, the day after the concert I met bth Jyrki and Jussi at the trainstation in Stockholm city. So thats for sure the happiest moments of my life.

    2. Negative, 19 July 2007, Bollnäsfestivalen (in Sweden)
It was the first time  Negative had a gig in Sweden ever, and I had to go. They was so great live, and they really amazed me. Me and my friends had wait in front of the scene where they should play about 5 or 6 hours before , and we got to stand in the front row.
And extra fun was that I met Antti and Jay from Negative in the city a couple of hours before the gig.
    3. The Rasmus, 6 October 2005 Stockholm, Klubben
The Rasmus has always been my favorite band. And this was my third time I've seen them live but I think it was the best concert I been to with them. Because I was with my best friend that also loved The Rasmus , so was a bit magical.
