Mike
Originally from Braintree Massachusetts, I currently reside in West Haven Connecticut playing drums for the band
~MORNALIR~
I have a wide variety of influences. In the beginning it started out with your typical rock music with bands such as the Goo Goo Dolls, Space Hog, Zappa and Dave Matthews Band (who is still one of my main influences today).
With their knowledge nurturing my skills I found myself wondering what direction, what style did I want to take my music?
It wasn't until I visited Washington DC, that I knew. Picking up the album VILE from the band Cannibal Corpse. I heard the first three seconds of the first song and knew from then on I wanted to play Death Metal. From there I got into such bands as Dimmu Borgir, Deicide and Cradle of Filth.
The Faster and Heavier the Better.
Soon though I was looking for something else to incorporate into my music. I started to learn funk and other styles like jazz, Latin, hip/hop, reggae and blues. My influences now are more on the technical aspect with bands like Meshuggah, Necrophagist, Ion Dissonance and From A Second Stroy Window.
