if i'm in the comfort of home then i lay the paper or shirt out and lay the stencil on top and spray through. if you're out on the street then it's just a matter of holding it up to the wall or whatever and spraying. needless to say, you can take more time if you're not spraying illegally, haha!!
your "bunny" looks like it would make a good stencil, you just need to remember not to leave any "islands" or pieces of the stencil you want to keep that are completely surrounded by colour
i don't know about germany, but i picked up an A3 laminator for £30...not that much at all considering the amount i use it!
as for tips, well...i laminate my designs first then cut them, and spray with montana gold paint. probably best to start off with quite simple designs and build toward the more complicated stuff. i'm no expert by any means but just keep experimenting and see what happens
