Blah, blah, blah, click, ic, kok, blah, glok, bang, pong, yup
Ordep Zerep is the name behind the work of Federico Blank, as a devoted electronic music producer. Started in 1999 as a Goa Trance and Techno dj in his hometown, Caracas, Venezuela, however, being a melomaniatic hasn’t allowed him to stick for too long to the same musical style. He has also being known in his previous dj fascet as: 3P, Bl4ck, Fed Blank, and Spyder, names that always related to a new musical style.
Shortly after his debut as a dj in 1999, Ordep Zerep starts playing in a wide range of raves, clubs, bars, and private parties in Caracas. He soon started gaining recognition from the public and party promoters for his exclusive musical taste and control of the decks.
Being a non-conformist person, Ordep Zerep is always evolving in his musical likes, leading towards new horizons in the Venezuelan electronic music scene. In 2001, Ordep travels to Los Angeles and lives there for a few months, time when he changed his musical style, and started playing hard progressive trance, and dark tech house; genders which helped him to consolidate his dj career when he got back to his beloved country later in the same year.
At this time, Ordep Zerep teamed up with 2 of his closest friends to create Zen Multimedia, a company dedicated to multimedia creation and party productions. Some memorable parties were produced by Zen Multimedia, events where Ordep worked as an artist, and also as event producer.
In early 2002 decides to leave for good his hometown, and moves to Barcelona, Spain, the city where he currently resides. Ordep Zerep starts flirting with new sounds like electro, and minimal (not so new for him though, since he started listening to minimal back in 1993), styles which lead to reinvent himself as a innovative dj.
Having left a crowd back in Venezuela, Ordep Zerep decides to start a new project called Kremadelik, (www.kremadelik.com name that came up to his mind while he was living in L.A. and saw too many adds in the streets that read: Music Needs You...) which is basically an online radio, music distributor, booking agency, art platform, and webzine for the electronic music community. During this period, he also decides to successfully obtain a master degree in Multimedia at Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya,
At the same time, he decided to open a record store along with a Venezuelan mate, which end up being Galaktika Records Barcelona. It was a totally new musical journey for both of them. A lot of hard work and effort was put into the store, and soon new business (distribution and booking agency) and recognition came up.
In 2004, Ordep Zerep was even more deeply attracted to musical production (as a logical progression), fact that made him rethink his current lifestyle, and made him decide to leave the record store business in order to have more free time to experiment with music and multimedia creation.
In early 2005, he also teamed up with the Glowmain crew from Venezuela (www.glowmain.com) and starts working for the development of the electronic scene in Latin America, together with his Glowsmain’s new partners. Until the date, this remains intact and the project has reached well known online and offline reputation.
The same year, Ordep obtains a master degree in musical business in Pompeu Fabra Universtity, and shortly after, he starts working in a digital music distribution business (Musicdld). This lasted for almost 2 years, time when he decides to mainly focus into his music production.
In 2006, he decides to put even more effort into musical production, and willing to increment his skills, decides to study Electronic Music Production at SAE in Barcelona. This was a great experience where he met a lot of like-minded people, and new projects came up from this.
He gets involved with the Soundworks Crew, and is now currently working in the creation of the new Sound Works net label, and of course, in many tunes to be soon released on the new web site. He also gained a new alias: he’s closest friends from SAE actually started calling him Ficko, so don’t be impressed if you get to find some tracks under that alias...
His musical productions are nowadays gaining recognition in the world wide electronic scene, and hopefully 2007 will be the year for start up of Kremadelik’s own record label.
Until the current date, Ordep Zerep has being resident, and played in many of the best clubs, after hours, raves, bars and parties in Caracas and Barcelona’s electronic scene.
Nowadays you can expect from Ordep Zerep sessions a perfect and energetic blend of the most amazing sounds related to the pioneering minimal techno and electro aesthetics that will for sure create an uplifting experience in the dance floor.
