Chris "Weasil" Taylor
Chris "Weasil" aka "Wyld F'n Weasil" started out playing guitar at an early age, but started playing bass seriously at 18. Raised on a healthy diet of Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Biohazard, and Pantera, he tooled around in several bands before landing a bass spot in Close My Eyes for 6 months. Ever the learning experience, Chris learned about taking live shows seriously and trying to make his performance as extreme as possible.
"I always try to push myself as far as I can go live, because I can't stand to see bands standing still, looking at the ground all depressed. Playing live I try to pull all my negative energy and turn it into something positive, not just for me, but for the people watching as well."
After a few years off, Chris returned as the guitarist for the Rockland county NY band Bricktown, which was a mix of Sepultura, Hatebreed, Throwdown and Strapping Young Lad styles musically. With a newfound work ethic, Chris helped propel the band to impress many, and at one show they won over a crowd a Hip Hop show, and also rocked several other shows in the Hudson Valley. Unfortunately, the other members of the band lost interest and Bricktown broke up in May, Chris started looking for something new.
"After Bricktown broke up, I still felt a little incomplete, like I had some unfinished business with metal, a few months later i saw a flyer online posted by Charles looking to lock up the bass position for this new band so i jumped on it."
Thus Pinion picked up it's bass player.
"I am so psyched and happy to be in a band with such talented musicians, I have never been surrounded by musicians of this caliber before, and I'm glad to be along for this ride!"
