Mike Hervey "Herv" "Hervman"
Mike Hervey AKA "Herv" "Hervman" previously fronted the Rockland County Hardcore/metal band World's Demise from 1998-2003. He has had the pleasure of sharing the Stage with Death metal bands Skinless, Dying Fetus and some amazing hardcore/metal bands like High test, The Dahmer project, Close my Eyes, and Lockdown. Worlds Demise hit the scene with their first recording "Dark Days Ahead" those six songs gained them a huge local following, packing the kids in show after show. The dedicated fan base was often literally bussed into shows, including their CD release party in Chester NY in which they sold out of every copy of their full length freshman release "The Innocent Burn." In 2003 After over a hundred shows around Rockland, Orange, Westchester and Long Island The band, plagued by member changes lost focus.
Note: After playing countless shows with ARBITRARY, World's Demise enlisted Charles Corletta to perform and record all the drum tracks on their album.
After the breakup of World's Demise in late 2003, "Herv" took some time off. focused on a solo acoustic career, and started a beautiful family where he now has a wife and two children.
Silence can drive a man insane and in 2007 Mike was brought back to his metal roots where he belonged when Charles Corletta gave him a ring.
"When you play something you have written for a crowd of people, a few will remember the guitar drums or bass and go home and try to play it. Others will remember the vocals and sing along next time they see you play. It's reaching someone in a way you may never be able to do any other way. When you have it happen once, you'll want it every time"
-Herv
"Herv's" warm singing voice, and his powerful screams give Pinion the heart and soul to rise up.
