Daniel Hellwege

25 year old dj & producer from Norway.

Born September 6th 1981. His pasion for music goes way back to his early youth.
Daniel learned to play a guitar pretty early which made him close to music early.
Family and friends mention often that Daniel should start sing in a choire because he got such a nice musical voice, but he always laughs it away.

At the age of 13 he started collecting livesets from djs around the world.
Livesets recorded and allways hard to get hold of, was indeed exactly what Daniel collected.
Pete Tong´s Radio 1 Essential Mixes and especially John Digweed´s show with all the guestmixes from Kiss100 and also a true liveset collector from DJM2K.
From Trance to House and every imagineable gener of music,
Daniel have had it, and heard it almost all. Daniel knows music at its best, and he is always very picky about the music. He grew quickly away from certain music styles and decided early that house was his style and music path.

In 2001 he finally got himself a pair of decks and a mixer. and started buying vinyl from different record stores abroad. Today, Daniel have a huge collection of records, all carefully handpicked.
Mixing things up at private house parties and handing out new promo mixes made him heard by alot of people. This eventually led to his first gig. As time went by, Daniel had different gigs localy and he have now played at several clubs, in both his home birth town Tønsberg and the capital of Norway, Oslo.

Daniel traveled outside europe and had his first official gig abroad shortly after some events he had guested in Norway. He went all the way over to New York City, where he met up with Amos Damon aka DJ Fame. Promoter and friend, NYC´s up´n coming house Dj and producer hooked Daniel up with a few guest spots @ NYC´s celebrity lounge Serena and Australian conga lounge, The Sunburnt Cow. Where he also had legendary percusionist Frank Bambara visiting live on congas. NYC´s true underground spot Sullivanroom was also visited when resident Fame was closing up the night. Daniel got in the likes of Chicago based Mark Grant and New York transplant Oscar P.

He have developed a very unique style.
House blended with different elements,such as jazz, funk & tech. Strictly underground and very adult. Deep, raw & sexy, a very sleezy funked up sound. We call it pure Chicago House...
