Small town girl grows up to be a rock writer......
SWF, 31. I write, I've toured, I've met interesting people. I like my pub, my friends, love my gods. I'm Pagan and proud.
To put it all down for those who want to know. I grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia. Not exactly hell, but close enough if you happen to be someone who doesn't fit in. For as far back as I can remember, I was the outsider. I was raised to think for myself and not follow a crowd. So I spent my formative years being an outcast and learning to fight the system. Can't say much has changed in 15 years.
The biggest change for me was in the year 2000, when I went on tour with Apocalypse Theater, otherwise known as APOX. Part of that experience was Burning Man festival, and that was life changing. Talk about a wild place where anything goes, all kinds of art, music, freedom of thought. I'd say that tour saved my life and I will always be thankfull to them (especially V).
In 2005, I got a lucky break by interviewing Ville Valo and Midge Amour for PM Magazine. Not long afterward, the interview was picked up by Heartagram.com and I had about 5000 views a day on my blog. That was some of the best work I've pulled out on short notice. I've been trying to pull some work since, somehow I've managed to miss 69 Eyes, Flogging Molly (missed due to back injury), and a few others. I don't get paid for my work, hence I don't have a reason to have any bias.
I'm no fan of big record companies. I feel that they screw bands out of royalties, and screw fans out of money. Ever wonder why so many crappy bands get radio play nonstop, but great bands go on being unnoticed? CAUSE THE RECORD COMPANIES ARE PAYING THE RADIO STATION OWNERS TO PLAY THAT CRAP!
I currently live with a roomate (no we are not "together"). I own my own home and have lived there for over a year. I am single and looking, preferably for a man who has his shit together. I'm not a golddigger, since I have my own job, my own home, ect. I'm not rich but what I do have is mine and paid for.
"Not much a sinner baby, not a saint" to quote Jyrki 69 of 69 Eyes. I've done my share of dumb things that didn't help me get anywhere. I was homeless for a time, but I managed to get out of where I was. If you put your mind to it, you can do anything. You can go from being homeless on the streets of New Orleans to interviewing rock stars, lol.
My family was always a big help, and I regret that I wasn't always on good terms with them. It's kinda rough when your trying to find yourself, and mom and dad don't always agree with the tough choices you have to make. If they did, life would be a lilttle boring. I perfer to be where I am now. It's quiet, and I can walk out to the woods if I choose.

Once again, I've tried to do too much. I've pissed myself off. But I don't sit there and do nothing. I work on finding like minded persons, and I work at forming an army, lol. I'm kidding.
I'm on 12 hr shifts right now. I'm doing too much and I can't sleep. I need to slow down.
