Hippies with lots of money - Think about it..
A Systems Administrator and programmer hailing from Cleveland, OH. He is a self proclaimed genius with an insatiable love for anything *nix and the bitter, hoppy elixir known as Beer.
You can usually find Benjamin galavanting around IRC channels and various IM's as defitro, benjaminwarfield, or reverendbws.
Working half a decade for a quickly expanding Wireless provider, Benjamin cut his teeth on C, with a healthy dose of Perl. Benjamin's first foray into Unix dropped him in a Korn Shell on Solaris. He then moved on to get a gig where Perl & PHP were king and he also maintained legacy C code. This position also had him maintaining a Linux cluster, and various other *nix like machines.
A few years of torturous hacks drove him over the edge, at which time, he took a Web Developer position with a non-profit org. Here he specialized in PHP & JavaScript, while maintaining the development and production environments and also instilling documentation and SCM standards.
Quickly realizing that his debt was climbing due to the massive pay cut from working for a non-profit, Benjamin made the move to a large web company that provides eCards, and other social expression content to the world at large. This web shop is all Python, which Benjamin quickly found to be an excellent language. Soon he found himself head over heals in love with a snake. Now, for some reason, his beloved Camel keeps spitting at him :(
Benjamin has also been involved in various OSS projects over the years, providing patches, new functionality, and leadership support.
And sometimes...I fling my own poo.
