SarahB (Saraaawr!!)

Today I was up at 11am. Usually I can never justify sleeping in late, but today I had a pretty good excuse since I'd gone to bed at 5am after Trash Fest and enjoyed the whole of four hours sleep before flying home. I was then up until around midnight going through my pictures and thinking about how much I miss Helsinki. I've been lucky enough to see a few cool places in my life - Paris, Berlin, Venice and three trips to New York. All fun of course, but damn I miss Helsinki with a passion! Today my sister is at college, my parents are at work and I'm all alone since I booked an extra day out of the office. It feels like I've been dropped from a great hight and landed with a real bump!

I had soooo much fun meeting everyone from Trig, especially Aileen since we shared a room. I was delighted to finally meet Jo after all this time and of course I met a few rockers, which is always a pleasure, he he. Big thanks to Jo for introducing me to Jussi69 or I'd have just stood there like an idiot lol!! I miss the girls, we had fun...

I won't write a never-ending record of what went on, that'll take more time than I feel up to at the moment! But heres the summary:

- The main area of Helsinki is surprisingly small. We walked around everywhere and always managed to find our way back (usually heading the right way even though we didn't actually know it). Its very calm considering how many rock bands came from there, believe me there is not a shred of anarchy about the place lol

- I packed loads of clothes thinking I was in for a freezing time but nope, we had better weather than England!

- Apparently Aileen hasn't been to the swings in 12 years. Situation corrected lol

- Rock stars are tall fuckers!

- At the airport I spent 105 Euros on one silver necklace just because I couldn't take my eyes off it. Thats a lot of money for me!

- Trash Fest was amazing, I got beer on my hoodie and my feet were stepped on but whatever, I loved it! Finnish beer stinks though, ugh!

- I told Skinny from Deathstars I wanted to steal his jacket...he'd better lock it away cos that jacket is just too irresistible lol

- I spent close to 140 Euros in just one rock shop. So many delightful shirts I can't pick up here. Yay!

- Someone stole kisses from me...

- Linde from HIM was there, I assume he wanted to see Iconcrash. Sweet.

- Jo is a wonderful person <3

- We still don't know what that creepy dude was after...my girls know what I mean...

- We still don't know what the heck the naked guy poster was about. Perhaps best we leave it a mystery lol

- Iguana = great restaurant

- My mind almost melted watching Cat Soup in the hotel. Strange stuff.
