The Events section is your calendar for showing what you're up to; maybe you're a band going on tour, you're having a party, or you're an artist who wants to promote an exhibition. Other users can add themselves as attendees to the event and then comment on it. Go to the Global events page and find something to do today, or go to your events tab and create an event to invite your friends to.
How do I create an event?
Just click the link directly under your Events tab. Create Tour is a step-by-step guide to creating an event that spans over more dates, cities & venues than just a single one. Create Event is more suited to single events like a club, birthday party or a night out on town with your potential trig friends.
How do I show that I'm attending an event?
Go to the global events page and search for an event that you'd like to attend, click the 'Add to calendar' button and you're now marked as attending! Your profile pic will then be shown under 'triggers going'. You can, of course, add events wherever you find them. Don't forget to have your say on the comment section of the event to spark up a discussion around what's happening.

Media Player

I'd like music playing on my People profile. How do i do that?
You can only play music from bands who have a Trig profile, so once you've found a band you like - use the Music Browse page - click the + on their music player, or individual songs, to add their song(s) to your playlist.
I've uploaded music to my player, but I can't see it on my Music profile. How do i do that?
From your media page, click the + on your individual songs to add your song(s) to your playlist.
Customer Service says I can't upload copyrighted music to my profile but other users have copyrighted music on their profile!?
If a musician uploads their own music to their profile, they own the copyright and aren't breaking any copyright laws. If you want to add that music from their page, then go right ahead. That's how this thing works.
How do I delete a song from the Media section?
From your media page, click on the album icon which contains the song, and then on the song name. In the Song menu, you can find a Delete Song button.
I've uploaded music to my player, but it's slow and/or sounds all funny. What's up with that?
Sounds like your media files contain variable bitrate encoding, which Flash doesn't handle very well. The file must have a frequency of 44.1 kHz (or multiple of 11.025 kHz) and be encoded with constant bit rate.

Your Tags

What's this tagging stuff about?
Tags are a smart way to make everything you do searchable for you, your friends, and other users here on trig. For example, create a blog and post it with the tag 'party'. Later, when you upload images, videos, and other forms of documentation of your party, you can tag them with 'party' as well. That way, you and everyone else will find your blog, images and other stuff related to the tag 'party'. You can also have a look at the tag cloud to see your main themes summed up in a nice, graphical way.

About Trig

What is Trig?
Originality. Democracy. Revolution. This is how we'd like to sum up what Trig means to us. But that's just a fancy way of saying that we want Trig to be a platform, centered around you. We don't believe in mass culture, we think all of us have hopes and dreams and our vision is simple: Your dreams, our tools. With cutting edge design and software, we see Trig as a new community for anyone who ever had a dream, and all the people who go their own way. We want to give you the platform you need, and we want that platform to adapt to you, not the other way around.
What makes Trig exciting?

The best guides to Trig will always be the members themselves. That's why anything on Trig – images, blog posts, profiles – can be'trigged' by clicking the trig button.

It's very straightforward: trigging something is like giving it your vote. You basically tell the rest of us you like it. The most trigged things will then make it to the top lists of blogs, profiles, and so on. In addition, everyone will have an overall count of how many times her or his stuff has been trigged.

The ranking on the lists will also be divided into categories like 'Today' and 'All-time'. That way, it's easy to find both all-time favourites and see what's popular right now.

What can I do on Trig?

Communities thrive on networking. The first step of networking is finding others to network with. Trig has a good browse page, where you can add more browse categories if you think any of them are important. It's an easy way to find exactly what, or who, you are looking for.

Since you can put tags on almost anything on Trig, we also made it possible to find friends, post blogs and images, by tags. It makes browsing Trig a little more creative, since you can look for people (and other things) who have been tagged for example 'stylish' or 'hilarious'.

The next step is to actually do the networking. Besides sending messages, comments and friend requests, you can chat with people directly with the inbuilt instant messenger.

Trig also makes it possible to make let your personality show. Here are a couple of things you could start with:

  • Skins: You should decide what your profile looks like. By changing profile skin, your profile will look original and new.
  • Blog: Creating your own blog is easy. Your thoughts are as important as anyone else's, so start posting.
  • Gallery: Fill your gallery with images. Private ones for your close friends, public images for the rest of us.
What does it cost to be a member?
Trig is free for all, so long as you're not using it for commercial purposes.
How do I join Trig?
On the front page you can sign up by clicking the 'sign up' button. Once you've signed up, you can also invite all your friends!
Where can I find the privacy policy?
It is very important to us that our members feel safe and secure and we have a deep respect for everyone's privacy. If you want to know more about this, you can read our privacy policy at the bottom of every page, this too.
Do you keep my private information confidential?
Please read the privacy policy at the bottom of this (and every other) page. You should be able to find all your answers there, but just in case you still have questions, please contact us at Customer Service.
What about spam?
We respect your privacy and will never spam you or sell your email address to third parties. Please read more in the privacy policy at the bottom of this page.

What is Trig?

trig.com. A community for creative people with images, blogs, music, trends, etc. Yeah, we could say all that. But what we really imagine is a place where people like their music loud, their opinions edgy and their life brave.
