My closest friend leaves in an hour... first she's going to Toronto to accept a Top 40 under the age of 40 in Canada award and then she's off to the Dominican for a week.  I'm so very proud of her (and jealous of the beach time) but she deserves it.  You have no idea how much she loves her community or how hard she works for them.  I've never met a more fair or more generous soul and I doubt very much that I ever will. I say these nice things about her even though it is her kids that generally infect me with every virus out there (making me fly sick more often than should be karmic-ally allowed) and even though she did almost kill me a few weeks ago via that old, bitter devil... Food poisoning.  Now that;s the sign of a true friend, is it not?

Anyway, she and me, we spent the whole day together - from Dim Sum at noon to threading, to shoe shopping and a stop at starbucks, through three bottles of wine, cheees and crackers, and finally Tika Chicken, Egplant curry and Lamb curry with rice and nan.  It's 4 am and I'm still drunk.  And now I have indigestion. 

Had my eyebrows threaded today -first time ever.   Easy peasy.They are thinner than I ususally have them thgouh, I'm not sure I'm down, but it was very cool.
 
Bought myself a pedicure with a  foot rub today as well.  Ahhhh...

We found a new wine and no, right now, I can't remember what it's called.  Another Pinot Noir, but very light.  Also from the Okanagan... It will come to me when I'm sober for sure.

And finally, Bucket is an idiot and I want to slap him upside his round head.
