I’ve been singing since I can remember.
When I was three, I used to tie skipping ropes to the dresser and put on concerts for my family. I’ve always loved music and singing.
I also sang in the church choir in grade school and I was the loudest one. Everyone would tell me to be quiet because I had a strong voice even then. Haha!
I started taking vocal lessons when I was 13 and continued studying with different teachers at 16 and 21. I played in my first band at 17, joined Pierce at 19, then sung for My Twin Sister, Better Than Blue and Surface Underground. Now I’m here.
I learned by listening and watching other musicians. I’m influenced by hard rock music and powerful female vocalists such as Janis Joplin, Sass Jordan, Joan Jett, Linda Perry, and Johnette Napolitano. I grew up listening to all different kinds of music, but especially loved hard rock. Never had a girly voice....my voice just fits with hard rock.
