This is SeaTac 67
Mini Band Biography/History:
Carla and Jim had been writing songs together for about 5 years and decided it was finally time to get a complete band going. They recruited Mike J to play bass and continued working out songs, played a couple impromptu performances, and kept searching for a drummer. After a couple years of searching, in April 2005 they finally convinced Mike F to join and play drums with the band and they all decided to rename the band (formerly "Punk Girlz on the Wall") to "SeaTac 67"; named after the first new song all four worked out together. They then self-recorded and released an EP in Dec 2005 and proceeded to book and play shows. During 2006 the band performed several shows as a Trio without Carla; at that time she wasn't comfortable performing in a live setting, but she has since changed her mind and is back. March 2007: after recording 1 EP and 2 Full Length CDs (1 to be released soon) and performing a bunch of shows, Mike F had decided to step down as drummer. No hard feelings: they're all still friends, plus the band members may work with Mike on some future non-SeaTac 67 related projects.
So that brings us up to date: A new chapter has begun: Ryan joined as the new drummer in May '07. Since Ryan joined, the band diligently worked out a set of songs to perform live, have played a couple of shows, and plan to continue playing 1 or 2 shows a month along with writing, working out, and demo-ing new songs with hopes of recording another album in the not to distant future.
All share a love and passion for music and share strong support of independent music and the DIY community.
