Silverhawke

What to say, what to say? Well, I'm Rachel but more commonly known as Silverhawke in the dark corners of the internet. At least, 80% of the time it's me.  So, perhaps the odds are in your favor.

Anyway, usually, I divide most of my time between studying at college for my BS in Chem under the great major that is pre-med. Yep, they haven't gotten rid of me yet. The other half of the time, I'm concert hopping in Chi-town (Chicago to all of you who've been living under a rock.) My favorite city in the US. My taste in music varies quite a bit. I'll listen to just about anything besides rap and country. (Together, they form the monstrosity that can be aptly named CRAP.) Some of my favorite bands are: The 69 Eyes, The Dresden Dolls, HIM, The Ramones, Kill Hannah, The Cure, The Sex Pistols, The City Drive, Trashlight Vision, Daniel Lioneye, Placebo, OK Go, The Shiny Toy Guns, Clear Static, The Misfits, Placebo, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Gnar Kill.....and the list continues!

Otherwise, I enjoy having meaningful conversations, making new friends (usually in concert lines), hanging out with old friends, going on random late night adventures, and following wherever the wind may take me! In the way of hobbies, I enjoy studying strange languages, being a useless information/movie buff,  and researching British history!

Other than the usual facade of the normal hobbies, I pride myself as being a creature of pure randomness. (Okay, even though I was at a Sciences convention today where the main speaker spoke against the existence of randomness, but what can you do? People try to prove everything wrong at least once.) Plus, I am a staunch optimist. Literally, I could be standing in a pile of horse manure and still find something great about it. In additon, I'm usually the class clown of the group. I repeat, in groups. Unfortunately, I'm pretty serious when it comes to business....which segues into my nerdiness. Darn, I am one uber nerd. Hey, it got me through high school well!

What else? Hmmm...how about Chicago? Awesome place. It's a definite perk to be able to drive on up there in only 20-30ish min depending on traffic. Actually, I live in Indiana. Yes, near Gary but my place doesn't look like it, lol! Although, I do go to school there. Hey, if you're ever hanging around The Alley, Medusa's, Ragstock, Hollywood Mirror...or literally anything near "The Alley" section of Belmont/ The Metro on a weekend, look around for me. I'm usually the weirdo shopping like a madwoman/waiting in line for a show. That's one of the greatest things about the city. If you like a certain band, odds are, they'll be around soon enough. Oh, the stories I could tell from those shows...it could take hours. Although, nothing yet has beat The Glitter Ab Party to date.
