Snipe Drive

When Snipe Drive won "DemoHelsinki" contest for unsigned bands in June of 2006 they were jumped on by literally every record label in Finland. One of the labels arranged the band to showcase their live performance only to send the band a text message after the show telling them to ease down the energy on stage....

At around the same period in life they were laying down the finishing touches for their new demo, later to be entitled “Caught On Tape”, this time with Jyri Riikonen, the mastermind behind Lodger's distinguished soundscape. Jyri liked what he’d come across so much that he instantly took the tracks to Lodger's management company upstairs knowing the management had just set up a record label as a supportive extension to the nordic street team network Urbanited.

Snipe Drive, a five-piece from outskirts of greater Helsinki area were originally formed by the brothers Antti (vocals) and Heikki (guitar) in spring of 2001. After having suffered a number of line-up changes, namely on drummer’s seat, they finally found a working combination eventually getting back to the original form with Pasi rejoining the band in 2004.

Snipe Drive's music is a combination of catchy melodies varying from melancholy to aggressive rock vocals combined with razor-sharp guitar riffs and skillful rhythmic components and raw punk energy. Songs are filled with catchy hooks making the band one to watch out for in 2007.

This is the party soundtrack of 2007. and yes. their live performance kicks ass.
