Spawned from the heart of Rotherham's dying metal scene.

ThisYorkshire quartet have been busting their balls around thecountry,drinking the bars dry and ruining house P.A.'s since 2001and havedefinitely no intention of stopping until the job isdone.

Hardtouring, hard drinking underground sludgemongers, SubliminalFearhave enough metal artillery, passion for the cause andfollowers tostart their own civil war.

Subliminal Fear combine a love of allthings doom, stoner and sludgyto create a new breed of metal thatthey like to call 'SWAMP'metal.

Subliminal Fear are not ones tolimit themselves creatively mixingbad ass dirty riffage, southernrock grooves and high octane thrash.The results of which areguaranteed to keep your head nodding fromthe first count, to thelast riff of their latest offering 'Whiskey,Women & Weed'.

Late 2002 saw a change of line up with the addition ofJamesMcGrother on guitars, after the departure of theiroriginalguitarist departed the ranks due to musicaldifferences.

Spendingalot of 2005 gigging with some of the biggest up and comingbands,impressing the likes of Charger, Strain, Mantra, Godsize,Loathe,Black River Project and Allerjen with the power andaggression oftheir live show.

After puttingtheir latest release on download.com, Subliminal Fearreceived wellover 800 downloads in their first week. Being declaredoutrightwinners at a recent local BOTB, Subliminal Fear are provingnomatter what the current trend, heavy metal can not be writtenoffany more.

Thinking mans music has it's place at the table but thatcan wait,Subliminal Fear exist as a call to arms for people whowant to lightup and party down.

Late 2006 saw another change tothe line-up for Subliminal Fear withLuke leaving the band andSteve taking his place on drums.

2007 sees Subliminal Fearembarking on a UK tour with the mightyBlack River Project whilstconstantly honing their craft writing newmaterial.
