I haven't been on in forever!

So much stuff has been going on, I don't even know where to begin. I've been going to a ton of shows lately, meeting a lot of bands, hanging out with new people, and slowly becoming a new person (: Now, I'm not going to get all emotional in this blog-- but I seriously have been changing a lot. I'm starting to become a lot more outgoing and a lot more serious about the things that I want to do in live. Though I still haven't completed my Freshman 2007-08 schoolwork online (I'm cyberschooled), I'm still trying to push myself onward in school. I'm trying to go back to normal school later on this year/semester.

On a higher note, I got to meet Frank Iero from My Chemical Romance for the 4th time (: Also, The Reggie & The Full Effect show that I went to was absolutely amazing! I went down to the venue 6 hours early and sat on a sidewalk, baking in the sun all day long. BUT! I got to hang out with Leathermouth / Reggie as they loaded and set up their equipment in the venue. I had barricae-- well, er, STAGE; there wasn't a barricade. The show ended up being amazing, and I got some kickass close-up videos of Leathermouth. www.youtube.com/szophialeigh

ALSO! I got a new puppy the other day!
She's a Cockapoo, which is a Cocker Spaniel + Poodle. She's really tiny, fuzzy, and black. She's so mellow and she's become really close with me over the past couple of days. I've never had a dog that was close with me, and only me-- so I'm super happy about that. I mean, yeah, I have two other dogs... but they're not all 'cuddle, cuddle' with me. BUT AAAAANYWAYS.

My friend Emily is staying the weekend with me, so I'm going to end this blog now (:
add me on myspace, I'm on there more often.
Back on Trig :D

I honestly forgot that I had one, how sad is that? I've been super busy with finishing school (which I'm still not done with, might I add), repainting and redoing my bedroom, going to tons of shows, working on my artwork/photography, and hanging out with friends. Everything has been like a giant roller coaster ride lately, but I don't really mind. I think I'm starting to get... a.. life..? lmao

I might be going to art school starting this fall, but that's only if I can get an interview/audition with this art school. It's called Lincoln Park (LOL Linkin Park) and it's a performing arts high school. My mom hired this one lady at her work whose son goes to school there-- and he loves it. I'm excited, but I don't want to get my hopes up. I know I've got what it takes to get into the school-- creativity and talent... but it's up to them whether or not they want me there.

I don't know what else to say, that's all that's been on my mind.
Anyways, I'm back and I've updated pretty much everything (:

The Used 4/7/08

It was honestly one of the greatest shows that i've ever been to! I got to the venue at around 11:30am and sat there all day like an idiot, but it was definitely worth the wait. While sitting in line Jepha and Dan from The Used walked out and talked to/greeted their fans. They also walked to Starbucks, and returned holding half empty starbucks cups in their hands. They were standing across the highway waiting for the street light to change, and Jepha was pacing back and forth talking on his cell phone. Since I got a new camera last week, I figured I'd see how well the zoom worked. I didn't even have to zoom in halfway to get a decent view of him. I snapped a picture, and now it's permanent home is on my deviant art. (http://szophialeigh.deviantart.com).

You weren't allowed to bring cameras into the venue because they were recording the entire show. There was even a banner outside that said "Do not enter the venue unless your want your face distributed on film" or something along those lines. I gave my mom my camera, and she ran it back to the car. I got inside and was up against the barricade-- on the left-hand side of the stage. I stood there for the first 4 bands, almost falling asleep because they just so happened to pick the most MELLOW bands to play with The Used. I gradually forced my way to the middle-- and I was pretty much dead-center, against the barricade. Finally The Used hit the stage and I just stood there in shock. I couldn't even sing the first verse of the first song-- I was being smushed against the barricade, my hands over my mouth, wide-eyed, astonished. Bert walked right in front of me and smiled/pointed at me. I got this glowing feeling inside my chest and just screamed at the top of my lungs. The show progressed, and with every passing moment the show got more and more amazing. During every single song, Bert would look over at me, smile at me, point at me, and stand right in front of me and sing. He did it during EVERY SINGLE SONG-- and it honestly made me the happiest person alive. During the song Paralyzed, Bert McCracken invited people up on the stage to dance with him. He pointed at me, but the security lifted the girl next to me out. Bert then pointed at me AGAIN, but the security ignored him and wouldn't let any more people on stage. He continued to look/point at me during every song-- and like I said, it made me the happiest person alive. It just sucks that the security were so strict about cameras-- I would've got some AMAZING shots of the band.

After the show Jepha came out and met the (about) 30 fans that were waiting outside. I called my friend Erin, and Jepha talked to her on the phone for a bit. Time passed by, and people started dropping like flies. There were only 4 people left: Me, my mom, this other girl, and HER mom. They were from Pittsburgh too, how odd is that? The girl, her name was Amy, came over to me and said "I think that's Bert standing over there." I walked over to the other side of the fence, and damn straight-- there he was! He was talking to a few guys, and smoking a cigarette. Amy and her mom both said they were too 'nervous' to scream his name-- so I did. I screamed, " HEY BERT! COME HERE!" He stopped for a second, looked over, and then continued talking. Not even a minute or two later, Quinn came walking out of nowhere. These two other girls that were waiting further down the street, walked up to him and they began talking. I let Quinn borrow one of my many sharpies to sign autographs, and I got my picture with him. I had to ask him a few times before he gave me my sharpie back-- he even put it in his pocket and started walking away HAHAH.

When Jeph was meeting fans we asked him to go get Bert-- he said, "I don't even know what fucking bus he's on." So we just kind of ignored what he said, and didn't worry about it. After we had called Bert's name, and then met Quinn-- we too asked him. Quinn said, "Bert has a mind of his own. I can't tell him what to do." My mom turned to me then and said that we have absolutely no chance of meeting him now. We waited for a few more minutes, and then out of nowhere this girl that was talking to Bert-- came riding over on a bicycle. She asked us what we wanted, and we asked her if she could get Bert to come over. She said okay. She rode her bike back over to Bert, talked to him, and then came back. "He told me to tell you that he's sleeping." That's what her response was. Bullshit, right? He was standing over by the bus the entire time. Not even a minute went by-- Bert walked back and forth a few times and then disappeared onto the bus. My mom told me we had to leave--and though I didn't want to, I did. We got in our van, drove past the venue one last time, and then made our way back to the hotel.

The next day I was upset over what had happened. At the show the night before, Bert literally took 5 minutes on stage to tell everyone just how much his fans meant to him. He told us that if it wasn't for us, there wouldn't be "The Used." He also said that "This music saved my life--and it's there to save other's." I got teary eyed hearing him say that-- it just, I don't know. It was inspirational. After he had said all that, and then he couldn't even walk across the parking lot to meet the 4 fans that were standing there all night-- that's what made me upset. Jepha came out and met fans when there was a SHIT load of people still waiting; why couldn't Bert do the same?

Still upset over what had happened, when my mom and I returned home, I got onto myspace and began typing a message to The Used. My mom and I were talking about this in the car, actually-- My mom said that she was going to message them, and I said not to bother because they won't reply. I was just so frustrated and upset over what had happened, I simply began spilling my heart out into a message. I kind of revised the message so that it wasn't too long-- and then I sent it. I fell asleep at about 6pm that night, and I woke up at 4-5am the next day feeling like shit. Not even thinking, I signed onto myspace and clicked on my 'new messages' icon. The page loaded, and the first unread message was titled--"RE: About your show in Columbus, OH: please read." I began crying hysterically. Not only had The Used READ my message, but they fucking REPLIED. I ran into the kitchen bawling my eyes out, wimpering like a dog, and shaking uncontrollably. I haven't even read the message yet, and this is how happy I was. After my happy-fit, I sat down and read the message they sent me. It was short, but ever so sweet-- and the message gave me alot of hope. I now knew that The Used knows how I felt about what happened, they know how amazing I think they are, and above all-- they know just how much I really do love them.

Though I randomly get upset over what happened-- and though I get kind of upset over not being able to meet Bert or get pictures of the show... I just stop and think about what happened. Not only did I get to see The Used for the first time in my life-- but I got to meet 3/4 of the band. I got to see an amazing show, and I obtainied tons of amazing memories. & now I even have an amazing message to assure me that The Used knows just how much I care.

Shit in my life tends to happen ass-backwards--
but sometimes that's a good thing.

Trig > Myspace

I honestly don't know why I like this website so much, man. I can be on myspace for hours straight, yeah, but when i'm on trig I NEVER want to get off. I'll sit online for hours just searching for bands/music on here and shit.

This post was absolutely pointless; but I thought i'd post something since I haven't in almost a month. (;

I'm going to see The Used in 4 days, and I'm so excited I can't stand it.
March 11, 2008 ; Don't ever get a Sidekick.

Seriously, don't EVER get a Sidekick. A week or two ago, I was texting my friend on my phone (sidekick 3) and when I went to flip the screen up, the back snapped off and the screen kept rotating. Last weekend, I drove out to the t-mobile store to see if I could possibly get a new sidekick 3. A young, snobby bitch took my phone and told me "Oh, you're right, that's not physical damage. It's defective." WELL NO SHIT. I walked over to where the sidekicks were. They were no longer selling Sidekick 3s, but they did have the Sidekick Slider and the Sidekick LX; one was $199, the other was $299. I though, maybe i'd get a discount since i've been a customer for a few years now and since my Sidekick was broken. Boy, was I wrong. They told me that since my phone was broken and my contract wasn't up yet, I couldn't get a full discount. I then asked the girl how much the phones would cost. She told me that the Slider would cost $267 and the LX would cost $367. I was confused and pissed off at the same time. Well, apparently, since I wasn't a new customer I wasn't 'allowed' to get a sidekick for a cheaper price. The girl then argued with me about the prices, about my plan, and about my contract. I left the store angry, annoyed with the stupid bitch who worked there, and went home with my piece of shit Sidekick. Now today, My mom (my phone's under her name) called t-mobile to see where we had to send my phone. We were going to send it back, and possibly get another Sidekick 3. Apparently they were ignorant to my mom too, so she told them that she was going to cancel my plan and switch to Verizon. I guess that made them pretty pissed off, because not even 5 minutes later, I got a text message on my phone saying that someone has changed my Tmobile Account Password. I sure as hell didn't, I know that. So once again, my mom called Tmobile and asked them what was going on. They told her that someone was trying to log into my account, so they locked it. & I guess whoever logged into it last, changed the password. Well, the last person to log into my account was the stupid, arrogant bitch at the T-mobile store. Everytime you go there, they ask for your phonenumber and they log your account into their system. Either I was hacked by some computer genius (yeah, right) , or I was hacked by T-mobile themselves.

I'm switching to Verizon Wireless soon, though. I'm getting an Alias, or whatever the fuck that phone's called. It's like a normal flip phone, but it flips open two ways...so you have a full keyboard.

Either way, don't ever get a sidekick.
& Don't ever get T-mobile.

They're the most ignorant company you could ever sign with.

March 9, 2008

I've had my trig account for a while now, but I never really got around to using it. Today, I was extremely bored so I decided to do something with it. Myspace is blocked on the computer i'm using (it's my school's laptop), so I needed another website to entertain me. I actually found out about the website whenever I went to see The 69 Eyes last summer. (June?) They had us sign up for this Trig Email thing, and then you got an invite from trig.com. I made my account, but then I forgot about it almost instantly. I was too distracted by myspace to make a whole different website. Just the other day my friend Erin was talking about how she found this website and made an account. That's when I remembered I had an account on here. Anyways, i'm extremely bored right now. I'm just looking through music accounts on here, and adding tons of bands that I listen to. I don't know what else to type. But, yeh, i'm going to start using Trig alot more (:

xoxo, S.
