ML: OK, thanx
B: not tired?
VV: what from?
B: Well, from the trip, the concert preparations, all this fuzz
VV: Well, maybe just a bit.
B: Ville, we thought u'd wear a Metallica badge today.
VV: I haven't worn those for ages. And unfortunately, I don't have any with Metallica. All of the badges I have are with KISS.

Ville is obviously nervous. Probably, because of the concert next to such monsters.
B: Ville, there's smth wrong with you. Are you nervous?
V: Ya. Smth like that. We always get nervous before going on stage. Always.

B: Have you managed to talk to Metallica?
V: No, imagine that, we've never met them.

B: How's that? What about the concerts you've had with them?
V: They're very busy, just like us, so we didn't manage to talk to each other. We're doing our job, they- theirs.

B: Not even after the concert, don't you hang around with them?
V:No, we always have different plans, we stay at different hotels, so no.And this doesn't bother me. Maybe it would be fun to sit and chat , butif it's not possible, I'm not upset about it.

B: You have a new album coming out.And from the looks of it, it will be a lot heavier than the previous ones.
V:There are some great songs on it. We're having a blast when playingthem. During our tours we've played the same things, and now it's sonice to play something fresh. Moreover, the public likes the newmaterial.

B: And the lyrics? Did they change?
V: Hm.. Well... More or less.. Ha-ha, i don't even know what to say. Not much, from the dramatic point of view.

B:One of ur new songs lasts 9 min 9 sec. Is that on purpose?
V: Initially, it was 10 min long, but we've shortened it.

B: Have you ever thought about writing a song that lasts 6 min and 9 sec? 69? Wink) (We're trying to joke)
V: (still serious)What for?No, I don't like all of this, I wouldn't want it to have to do with my art.

B: That was a joke, Ville.
V: (starts laughing) A-a-a! I get it. Don't pay any attention, my mood's not so good today.

B: Ok. Does HIM have a lucky nr?
M: When we first started playing, our lucky nr was 17

B: Oh, yes.. Been meaning to ask you this. Do you play songs in finnish?
V: No.
M: Just mixed songs, with silly melodies and uncensored lyrics. (starts saying smth , evb laughs)

B: What are your ringtones on ur phones?
V: Mine is on vibe.
M: Some standard thing.

B: Ville, are you planning on going solo?
V:I dunno, we'll see. We've been together for so long, so, maybe, someday I'll try smth by myself, without the band. Now, we've worked for solong on the new album, which is finally done, and will come out inautumn, so my thoughts and plans are strictly concerning it. Maybe,some time later, we'll do smth acoustic

B: We wanted to talk to you about emo and about the new emo bands like MCR or FOB. What do you think about them?
V:(shrugs, doesn't laugh)All these bands play easy music, which is notfor me. I have some MCR albums, and honestly, i've tried to listen tothem. But i couldn't. It's not for me.

B: What other recent music has made an impact on you?
V: (thinks..)I really like some band from California, our clone. And smth from Timbaland's new album

B: Right. Listen, If u were given a chance to start life over, would u use it? And what would you change?
M:I'd like to be a little baby again, and sit on my mom's laps. M-oo-m.M-oo-m. (Roleplays a little baby, everyones laughs out loud.)

B: As the years pass, are you becoming gloomier or lighter?
M: Gloomier. Definitely
V: I turn more red as each year passes.

B: Does being mature have its advantages?
M: Ya, you become meaner, and ppl start respecting you.

B:Tell us about ur personal lives. What's new? What's happening back at home?
V:What's new? Nothing new. (became sad) I haven't been home in ages. Whatcan I tell you? "Wherever I am, my home's within me" That's what'shappening to me.
M:Ya, and nothing new happens.. Everything goes around in circles.

B: Maybe in spirals?
M: May be so.

B: One last question. What are you doing 3 min before going on stage?
V:We don't have any rituals. We're just pulling ourselves together. Andwe , by all means, check our zippers, see if they're shut. (Laughing)
