I saw "It"

So I recently attended a festical/carnival...a circus type thing, whatever you want to call it. I had just finished reading It, the Stephen King novel. And I'm not going to lie, it scared the shit out of me. Now I don't have a problem with clowns, keep this in mind as I tell you this story.

Now in the book Stephen King did a pretty good job describing the clown. Now as I was walking with my 2 friends, Lisa and Zacky, Zacky decides to go get some beers. We stand there and talk. There's a tap on my shoulder, I turn no ones there, I mean No one was behind. I figure it was my imaginition. And then there's this clown with a bunch of balloons standing there smiling at us. I was freaked out a little when I saw him because he looked exactly like how the clown in It was described but I stayed come. He offered us a balloon, I said no. My friend Lisa joked and said we don't take things from strangers. He then says I'm Pennywise, Meet Pennywise.

I flipped my fuckin chain. I ran and found Zacky and I begged to leave. Lisa was a little wigged out too,( I borrowed the book from her). I know your sitting there going, "You fuckin pussy, it was just a clown,", No way, you had to have experienced it and you have to read the book. I've never seen the movie but goddamn it can't be as bad as the print.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who has had this happen to them or something like it!!

i was at the zoo the other day and saw a dwarf pushing a stroller, as i turned my eyes i noticed a group of amish people walking towards me. one of the amish women looked at me and gave me this really weird smile. must have been my beard. not the same as your story, but it freaked me out none the less.

The movie is absolute crap compared to the book and not in the least scary.
I can't remember if Pennywise looked the same in the film as described in the book, though. That all lies back some years.
And, hm, I'm thinking that clown might've had the intention to frighten people who read the King novel ;)
Never had such an experience, though. Haven't seen clowns for years, 'cause I haven't been to a circus since I've been a child. And there aren't much clowns around on carnivals here.
