The Hit and Runs

'Bradford's finest INDIE cuisine' (Leeds Music Scene), the HIT and RUNs are a three piece band who play a mixture of indie, pop and punk. The line up was formed in may 2006 with Joe Maguire on vocals and guitar, Andrew fielding on bass guitar and Matt Nixon on drums. Over the past few months the band have been busy gigging all over Yorkshire and in a short space of time the band have recorded three demo cd's... two at home using matts computer and various pieces of 'make shift' equipment and most recently, the third at Calder recording studios in Halifax with producer and Engineer Steve Fenton. This was funded by money earnt through gigging and previous cd sales. Described as havin 'Catchy, sing-a-long melodies' and 'witty lyrics' the band have been compared to the likes of the Buzzcocks, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, and Little Man Tate.
