Hello!!
Just thought I would add a cheeky little update and talk to you all about whats been happening in the world of The Humour.
So we went over to the Isle of Man last week to play some shows with Flood of Red & On a Friday. we were supposed to be there till today but we had to come back on Thursday because I got ill. :-( turns out i got a small form of Shingles due to a flue vaccination I had and It's apparently due to stress too, so the doctors have told me to try and relax a bit more even though thats highly unlikely! But the shows that we did play were awesome, the crowds were crazy (I even had them doing the wall of death which they pulled off rather proffesionally). On a Friday were as always true gentleman ( we already know and love the boys) and we made some new friends in Flood of Red, were gonna be going drinking with the boys when they come down and play the cockpit with You me at six in December so get your asses down!
we got 2 shows to play next week, we have the Birmingham show to play which is always a pleasure, and erm not sure about the other one....dont think it's anything big..oh no wait...its the TASTE OF CHAOS show!!haha didn't think we would be playing this show in a million years, so seriously thank you all so much for voting for us and getting us through to the finals, we now get to play infront of about 2,500 fans at the Refectory alongside some of the biggest names in Rock right now (The Used, Rise Against, Aiden, Gallows, The Blackout). We're so dam nervous and we just cant wait!!
Also whilst we were on the Isle of man we wrote and finished 2 new songs. If your coming down to the taste of chaos show your gonna hear both these new tracks being played. So what of these new tracks I hear you ask? Well we f**king love them, and were all agreed that theyre the best songs we've written so far, the first one we wrote (still as yet untitled) is all over the place, starts off sounding like the soundtrack for a horror film, then twists in to sounding latino then breaks off in to a big Def Leppard style chorus. we even have gang vocals, some doo wops, some big shouts of 'HEY' and a tiny bit of screaming, oh and some latin lyrics too. I think you'll enjoy it lots. As for the other song which is now called 'Take the hit (and run)' well this one is what a lot of you have been asking for for a while now, its another quick to the point rock number, like momentary, and its my favourite song so far. very catchy (as always right?) and its only 2:30 long. so its a quick to the point number, and it sounds massive. We're gonna be opening up with this song at the Taste of Chaos show thats how confident we are with it. :-)
Erm what else? oh yeh the Kerrang readers poll is currently offline but so far weve have around 6,500 votes for us as best unsigned band so keep it up! Get all your friends to vote and keep whoring us.
Thats it for now, think I've rambled on for long enough. leave us some heart warming comments and we'll love you forever.
p.s If you havent got your cockpit tickets yet then get on it, we're gonna be selling the tickets at the refectory show, so in theory we may have 2,500 people who might wana come to the cockpit, so we might sell a load there. so if you dont want to be dissapointed then get your tickets this week, theres a poster going round, please try and post this thing everywhere you can, tell all your friends so we can have another huge crowd there cos you knowz that well have some sweet ass surprises for ya. :-)
Lots of love. Jimbo.xxx
