Best Italian Band 2007 - ROCK SOUND AWARD!!!
Formed in Milan in 2004 The LoveCrave have been able in a very short time to build some kind of magic around themselves thanks to their killer songwriting on their debut album "The Angel And The Rain" that was released in December 2006 around Europe.Signing in just a couple of months with a German label (RepoRecords), finding distributors and promoters all around Europe, booking agencies and creating a big appeal and curiosity in the music biz.
The power of rock in the sounds, the mystery and darkness behind an electronic world that entwines with elegance and aggressivity give vent to a production that we get to hear once every now and again.
Francesca Chiara's voice seems to shape the sounds with her dark whispers and her sharp punk rock vein, standing always on the verge of sweetness and rage.
Supported in Germany by the main magazines of their genre (Zillo, Sonic Seducer...) and supported by the biggest rock/metal radios in Europe, The LoveCrave returned from a german tour with the canadian group The Birthday Massacre, played as headliners at the famous Camden Underworld in London UK in January 07, played as headliners at the Alcatraz, the biggest club in Italy, and kicked ass at the world famous WGT Festival in Leipzig D at the end of May 07.
After these brilliant performances they’ve been sticked in the world famous M’era Luna Festival‘s program at the last minute in August 2007.
In November 07 they left for a long tour in Germany and once they got back to Italy they won the Rock Sound award at the M.E.I. (european indipendent labels meeting) as BEST ITALIAN BAND OF 2007.
Someone described The LoveCrave as the future of gothic metal (Paul Miller, Amazon UK).
Someone says that this band is one of the next great rock sensations (DJ Adey Gibbs, TotalRock Radio UK).
Someone considers their music a window in the soul (DJ Greg Pawlak, Hard Rock Radio Live USA).
Some follow the band to all their shows around Europe and others simply let themselves get swept away by the magic world of “The Angel And The Rain”. Closing their eyes, turning up the volume and imagining the city.
