The Night Song

The Night Song was born of a need to communicate and express a few crucial and perhaps even overlooked aspects of the cold and harsh technological jungle that is urban industrialised society. Urban alienation, inhumanity/dehumanity and paradoxically poor quality of life in an economically developed environment; these things are archetypal characteristics of our modern world - and this is exactly what The Night Song attempts to reverse by communication, and affinity with those souls who realise the folly of modern living. (...do we have it too good, or could we ask for something better?)

Influenced by the morose atmospheric sounds of bands like Joy Division and Radiohead, and also fusing the hopeful up-tempo melodic rythms of New Order and Kraftwerk with the hope of achieving something beautiful, The Night Song offers a musical experience that is both strangely oppressive and at the same time liberating to the listener.
