Bloodstock Open Air Metalfest has finished.  It's 4.30am and I'm not long home, tired, voiceless and aching after a successful festival all round.  Live shots, reviews, round ups and faces of Bloodstockers will be uploaded over the next few days.

I may have got the oddest picture in a photo pit when I went to pick up my kit on the way out, as nonchalantly hopping past the speaker stacks, which vibrated hard enough to spill one photographer’s beer, and off under the stage was a frog (toad?)  I couldn’t decide whet...

So, another festival day bites the dust, and with the sun shining pretty much all day, I can vouch for the dust!  Not that I’m complaining as I sit here with the sun rising on the final day, because it’s been raining overnight, as predicted so we’re not so much in for a day of metal as mud.

We arrived at Bloodstock Open Air slightly later than expected having been stopped at the entrance to Catton Hall to allow ambulance access.
The metallers were out in force, despite the weather looking a bit dodgy all day (who cares about the weather eh ... it's METAL!).

Unfortunately,  the Thunderground Festival at Rock City, Nottingham featuring The Poodles has been cancelled for next week.

So UK Live will be spending another day at Bloodstock Open Air instead.
