So, it all begins...

this weekend we shot the video for our first single with video director Patric Ullaeus (Sonic Syndicate, In Flames etc) and we can assure you guys that this video will be something over the top, it looks fucking amasing and we can't wait untill the single will be released so ya'll can watch it.

What's up guys!
Thought i'd give ya'll a little update on what's going on in the Union Square camp...

The album is mixed and done and we couldn't be more pleased with how it came out, it sounds killer and we can't wait till it's out for YOU all to hear and to get some feedback on the new shit... we know you'll love the new songs, that's a promise!!!

We're booking and playing shows right now and within a week or two we'll prob have alot of cool news for ya'll!!!

Studio Diary - Part 9

...so finally the tracking of the album is done, I can't express the relief and how great it feels. It has been a very long month and we've been working our asses of the latest couple of weeks but now we're finished.

Thinking back to the first day of tracking drums seems like ages ago, we've had some computer trouble, some illness issues, and some minor setbacks but most of all we've been floating around in a productive atmosphere of creativity and we have had a hell of alot fun!

Every single part is in place and the songs sounds even better than expected, and hopefully more magic will happen as the album is ready for mix next week.

We have had many different visitors and assistance during theese last days, a violinensemble on one of the songs, people from bands like By Night, Fear My Dear, and Serenade For June and other friends as vocal assistance on some songs, Thanks alot!

So I guess that's it, our work on the album is done and now the fate of the recording is in hands of others as it will be mixed and mastered.

Finally, a BIG thanks to everyone involved and to every single one of you out there for the love and support!

Don't forget to keep your eyes open for the album in mid/late 2008 (we'll get back with a date for the release as soon as we know)

Studio diary part 8

maaan we've been slackin on the updates...
So what's new?
ALOT OF STUFF IS NEW, we're pretty much finnished with the whole tracking of the album.
We've been working 20hour days the last week and all guitars and almost all vocals are done, we've recorded strings on one song called goodbye, we've hade friends from By Night, Serenade for June and FearMyDear over for a party and singing with us on one of the songs called BREAK OUT!

So things are really falling to place here and we've only piano and lead vocals left on one song.
Feels damn good to be done soon... it's been a fucking amasing month but now after over 30days in the studio and almost no time off it feels pretty good to go back home and chill out for a while.

We'll post one or maybe two new video episodes in a near future so be on the lookout for that stuff...

The mixing of the album will start on March 17th so we'll keep you posted on that.

Good morning everybody!

Here's what's new, as posted in the latest blog we've now started with the leadguitars and vocals. Me and Patrick just finished the vocals on a song called House of Cards and tomorrow is all about additional guitars and leadguitars.

It's 6 o clock in the morning and I'm too sleepy to go on right now, but everything is going great and we keep you posted with new blogs and video diary as soon as it's ready.

allright... today we're finnishing the rhythm guitars after 5days of tracking (we've had a day off and stuff) so now the fun part of the recording beginns...

me and P-dawg are having a NHL 2008 marthorn and NY Rangers are way better then fucking Detroit Redwings even though they happen to be in the lead by 9wins against my 7wins but we're just getting started there...

tomorrow me and joel will have a day off to go to Malmö and gett some new ink and it's gonna be nice to get away from the studio for a day.
So tomorrow pat will start to record vocals on some of the songs and then we'll do both that and lead guitar for the rest of the time.

now i'm off to kill it with the rangers!!!

Aight cats and dawgs!

This Patrick speaking. Today I arrived to the studio kinda early, said hello to the lads playing guitar and then fell asleep...... About 3 hours later i woke up, went to the control room, said hello to the lads playing guitar again then back to the "living room" where we eat and sleep, played some xbox 360, then fell asleep again..... But we have done a lot of the guitars for the album sofar and it sounds pretty massive so stay tuned!

Studio diary part 4

hey guys...

So what's new?
Patrick has finished the bass on all songs in only 2days of tracking so that's pretty damn sweet. Sounds great.

We've had some computer issues though and some of the drums needs to be fixed because parts were suddenly missing and stuff... but that's getting taken care of today and later this afternoon we'll start to record the rhythm guitars and that's my part so I'm fucking stoked about getting started.

We tried out some guitar sounds last night and it's going to sound fucking awesome... big, fat, raw and juicy!!! I'm pretty damn excited ...

But until all the drum editing is done i just have to hang around for a bit... we'll probably post a new video episode tomorrow or on Friday i guess.

We have gotten alot of good feedback about the video episodes, though some would like us to text them so everyone can understand the swedish parts but that takes alot of time to do in my shitty editing program so we really haven't got the time to do that stuff... sorry... but we'll try to talk more english on a regular basis.

Studio Diary Part 3

Hello guys!

Nick’s here, I’m done with the druming for this album and I wanted to tell you about it.

It has been a very hard week, my fingers (and feet) are sore as you can see in our gallery, but the 12 songs are now on tape so my job on the album is pretty much over except for the fact that I’m cleaning up the other guys shit, making coffee for the late nights and yeah I think you got the picture.

The drumsound is amazing thanks to our producer/engineer mr. Silver a.k.a “the don” and it has been a real pleasure working with him.

As we speak Patrick is putting down some bass to the drums and he’ll get back with a report of the result in just a day or two.

Studio diary part 2

Hey what's up guys!

So it's day four of drum tracking. We are past halftime when it comes to tracking drums and Nick will probably be done with all drums tomorrow or on Friday afternoon.

He's doing a fucking amazing job even though his hands are swollen, sore and bruised haha... i guess he just has to deal with that shit. But he's not complaining though, he just keeps drumming hard, tight and keeping it fat!!! just the way we want it...

Since I forgot all important hygiene stuff at home and haven't showered in four days OR changed underwear I figured i needed to go home to get my stuff and fix me a towel etc so now i'm all clean and fresh again ready to spend countless hours in the studio for the rest of February... nice!

what else is new?
we got two big nice packages delivered today with effect pedals, drum stuff and things so today it's a little bit like Christmas i guess... i hope it will come in handy when it's time to track guitars next week.

Studio diary part 1

Hi everyone!

So it finally begins.

This is Union Square talking, we have just arrived to the studio.
So far we have installed ourselves in Studio Mega and today was all about soundchecking the drums.

We're working with the sound engineer and producer Christian Silver who is the owner of the studio and he's doing a great job.
The drumsound is set and tomorrow the recording starts.

We are very excited and looking forward to a agreat deal of work with the album this month. The recording is planned to be finished at the end of feb. And the release date is not decided yet, but we wont let you wait too long I promise.

Thanks for all support, we can't wait for the album to be recorded and done and to meet you guys at shows and stuff.
